Dog Mom Offering Home-Based Care
Pet care experience
I have taken care of friends' dogs since 2018, including a senior dog with several health problems and regular medication needs, a puppy under 3 months, and an adult dog with a high level of anxiety. I am familiar with dogs who are friendly and at ease with me right away, along with dogs who are more shy and need time to manage their anxiety; both kinds are welcome in my home. Additionally, I helped a former coworker train a service dog connected with Retrieving Freedom for about 9 months (from 2 months old to just shy of 1 year). Finally, I have a yellow Labrador Retriever I have raised since they were 3 months old (they are currently 3 years old). I have trained my dog on a number of commands, including sit, down, off, up, stay, wait, roll over, shake (both paws with the appropriate one given), left, right, free, and place.
Reviews
Jenny is very good with the dogs. The first time i met her I had a senior dog. Jenny was very careful with her, reassuring us that she would be ok, and and was! Shortly after , our dog passed. When we got our new dog, I called Jenny the first time i needed a sitter.. again, she was wonderful! She sends pictures and reports on how things are going and answers all of my questions quickly. Its nice to know my pets are well cared for when we cannot be there. 5 stars!
Jenny and Remy were great hosts! We were a bit nervous for our first day, and appreciated Jenny providing some updates throughout the day. Looking forward to future stays!
Jenny was wonderful. She’s very caring and our Remy enjoyed staying with Jenny. She sent pictures & updates daily! We’ll definitely use Jenny again!!!!
Jen is a great option if you'd like your loved pet to be taken care of. She listens to your needs and requests. She sent pictures of our loved pet throughout the stay. We would highly recommend her for your pet needs!

Your dog will become part of the family when they stay at my house, and I will do everything in my power to ensure they feel safe and loved with me. I have a completely fenced-in backyard to allow for easy potty breaks and the opportunity for dogs to run around. My Labrador is a friendly dog who is willing to give other dogs their space if needed. I also have space in my basement for dogs to run around and play, especially during the colder months of the year. Your dog is welcome to sleep on the couch, on Remy’s dog bed, on the guest bed, or alongside Remy and me in our bed. Pet parents can bring kennels, toys, blankets, and anything else that will help their dog(s) feel more at home with us.

Information Jenny L. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any accommodation needs (e.g., medication, fears, issues with certain types of dog breeds, etc.), so I can best support them and make them feel at home with me. I also like to know your dog’s routine (e.g., when do they eat, are they kenneled when you are gone, how do they wind down in the evenings, etc.), so I can ensure I’m supporting them as much as possible and helping to reduce anxiety.
A typical day
I can take your pet on a walk in my neighborhood, which is close to a dog park and bike trails. Depending on your dog's interest in water, we can also play fetch at a local lake during the warmer months. We will also play games in the backyard and/or the basement depending on the weather. I keep a variety of toys, especially balls, available for inside play. When we aren’t actively playing, I have a number of spaces in my living room for your dog to relax - a couch, loveseat, dog bed, and a large, oversized chair.

Availability
Due to full-time remote work, I am at my house all day. I am able to care for my dog along with other dogs in my home, including ensuring regular potty breaks and access to water, food, and medication. I also regularly take my dog to the local dog park and/or trails for exercise.
