Pet care experience
I live on the Essex/Suffolk border near beautiful countryside but also close to main routes and a mainline train station. The Covid lockdowns enabled me to become a dog owner in life once again and opened up a whole new chapter of my life. I know, from my own experience, that it can be hard to find good and reliable doggy care and I’m motivated to offer that to others (daycare and dog sitting at my home). I keep my calendar on this site up to date with my availability, however if you don’t see what you are looking for feel free to ask. My usual offering is weekends plus school holidays. Remember to request early for popular dates… I have the utmost respect for the size, weight and gender of my own dog and therefore I don’t take more than one doggy guest at a time. It’s also a no from me to un-neutered male dogs and dogs over 11kg. Please view my gallery on this site for examples of photos I’ve shared with owners during a stay 🐶

We recently left our dog with Jenny, it was Lunas first time being left with a dog sitter. Instantly Luna felt comfortable there which put our mind at rest. Jenny was great with her, and little Honey too. Thank you Jenny for being so welcoming.

This was the first time that I have left my dog, Pepper, and was so nervous about it. We had an important wedding to attend and I soon realised that it was me that had the separation anxiety more than Pepper. Jenny was fantastic and I can highly recommend her. Communication before, during, and after Pepper’s stay has been excellent and reassuring. Jenny had rearranged her schedule so that she would be at home during Pepper’s stay. She was not worried about Pepper having seizures (epilepsy) and gave her the medications according to our instructions. Pepper loved being with a playmate. When we got home we could tell that Pepper missed Jenny and frolicking with another dog of a similar size. If we ever have to go away again Jenny would be my first contact. Five stars *****

My house is quiet and calm (no kids, no cats). I have a garden with a 5 foot perimeter. There is supervision at all times and regular on-lead walks locally. Playtime and food time are big things here! There are toys galore and dogs love my home cooking (unless on their own special diet of course). I keep a pop-up indoor dog pen should any little ones in my care need some peaceful time. There is a car park space next to my house to use for drop offs and pick ups 🐶

Let me know as much as you can (needs and wishes) as I like to offer a real home-from-home experience and make sure my doggy guests have fun. Please bring their dog harness or collar (well fitting). I’ve also found that bringing their dog bed or blanket for any overnight stays helps them to settle.
A typical day
First and foremost I’ll work to get your little one settled. Then it’s about keeping them entertained (no time to pine). Cuddles, play, food, a walk and REPEAT…whatever they need… There are lots of beautiful walks here that I use, and a nice community of local dog owners.
