Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of cats & dogs of all ages, sizes, & needs, incl. senior pets & those with separation anxiety. I know how badly it can feel to leave a pet at home, so I’ll do my best to give your baby the snuggles, adventure, or alone time they need to feel comfort in your absence. I am currently without a pet, having lost my senior dog and cat in 2022. I have done forever fostering in the past and will do it again eventually, but am taking a break from having a pet full time so I can travel and have some time for me and my partner to not be tied down for a bit. We are extremely devoted pet parents, so the last 15 years were completely structured around our pets needs. It’s nice to have some freedom now, but I just have too much love to give! My pet care philosophy is whatever yours is. How you raise your pet doesn’t need to jibe with how I raise mine, so you can trust that I will follow whatever rules or commands you want me to enforce. Just let me know what they are. If your pet is currently in training, in need of meds, or has special needs, I can handle it. Just let me know what you expect. I won’t lie, I wouldn’t be on here if I didn’t want this for myself first. I love animals, and I love caring for and spoiling them. They’re just the best, and it makes me happy to give them love. This isn’t just a side hustle to make money. It’s for me to express the loving energy that’s just been accumulating since my own babies died. Why waste it on my husband ;)

So kind and flexible with us. We have a very nervous dog and Jenny did great with her! Kept us updated our whole trip. We felt so comfortable having her take care of our dog. Appreciated her so much!
Such a positive experience with Jenny! She was so communicative, sent lots of pictures and made me feel at ease being away from my dog for a week just knowing she was in great hands!
Jenny is absolutely wonderful! She is loving, caring, and is very in tune with animals. She has never met a dog that didn’t love her, because she loves walks, playing catch, and making your dog feel like the only dog in the world. She’s very responsible and always makes the best decisions. She’s just plain a nice person.
We consider Jenny a second mom to my 60 pound Guatemalan street mutt. She gives him so many snuggles and walks and he absolutely adores her. She is my first call when I go out of town, as I know Django will be so well taken care of while I'm away, with dog park visits, hikes, and play time. She's the best!

Let me know if your pet has any special needs (meds, leash aggression, breeds it doesn’t like, etc). I will always follow a dogs lead, but sometimes they don’t know how to lead with a new person. They can push boundaries or follow instincts that they might now with you, so please tell me any and all quirks or details you think I should know to keep them safe and behaving as you want them to
A typical day
Always a morning and evening walk at the very least. Lunch time walk preferred, but I don’t need to if they’re old or happy without one. If on weekends, and with your permission, hiking, mission bay, dog parks/beach, even camping or backpacking on longer stays. Will fetch, throw frisbee, play tug, or wrestle if they’re into any of that.

Availability
I work full-time from home, but have a flexible schedule so I can leave for walks whenever I want. I have a backyard (not fully fenced, but far from street), a dog park and dog beach close by, so there are great places to play.
