Experienced & Thoughtful Care
Pet care experience
Pets should be able to stay in their home and not be boarded when their family takes a trip. It is my goal to keep your furry family members comfortable and engaged while you’re away, so that travel plans can be stress free for everyone! Caring for animals is my life passion. I have been a pet owner to dogs and cats my whole life and have cared for friends and neighbors the past 14 years. I have cared for young, elderly and special needs and the highest energy fur pals. I grew up helping my family pet sit as a business. As a result, listening to animals through verbal and non-verbal communication is in my DNA. If your pal is itching for a 5 mile hike, we're going to Montecito Peak trail. If they flourish from calming support, we'll be listening to Jack Johnson on the floor together with some paired back rubs. Santa Barbara is a beautiful city with endless opportunities for outdoor fun! Along with living here, it is my favorite place to be with animals. The majority of my time spent off the work computer is outdoors. This includes morning walks at Douglas Preserve, hikes in Montecito and sunset strolls at Hendry's. I am lucky to have lived on the Mesa these past 10 years, and so I love to take advantage of the parks and trails close by. Dogs, cats and bunnies are my specialty. Though I have worked at the Santa Barbara Zoo, where I got exposure to the personalities of all the wonderful and exotic creatures they house.
Reviews
Jenny is incredible! Leaving our pup is never easy but Jenny makes us feel so comfortable knowing that our lil guy will be cared for so well. Jenny is kind, professional, and truly goes above and beyond ever time. Can’t say enough good things :)
I can't say enough good things about Jenny. I have had many dog sitters and Jenny was the most attentive, communicative, responsible, caring pet sitter I have had the pleasure of watching my 2 pups. They require a lot of instruction with illness and behavioral needs, and she followed direction carefully and touched based throughout the stay. I highly recommend Jenny as a pet and house sitter!
Jenny really cares about my dog Gus. He loves seeing her, and she knows exactly what makes him happy and comfortable. Before our first overnight, she came over to meet Gus and asked all the right questions. My boy immediately connected with her and from then on, Jenny has been our go to.

Safety, trust & environment
I will treat your home and fur family with the utmost respect. I have experience with senior and disabled friends to puppies. Based on their energy level and your recommendations, they will be comfortable, loved and exuberant!
Information Jenny D. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog have a playful or calm personality? Any special dietary traits? Are they house trained? Anything that is triggering to them during walks (bicyclists, children, other dogs)? Do they like physical attention or do they have off limit spots (head, paws)? What’s their favorite treat and activity?
A typical day
I love to stimulate animals with different games and environments. If your friend is active and has endless energy, we'll go on a long morning walk, a hike in the later afternoon and get some serious play time in between. If they are calm, they will get lots of pets and belly rubs while we listen to music and find some toys to chew on.
