Who Are We? We aim to provide exceptional dog care based on our Christian spirituality. We call our ministry a spirituality of care. Both of us are dog trainers who are compassionate, loving, and playful with all of God’s creatures. Also, we served a combined 17 years in the Air Force, so, there is an attention-to-detail to how we care for your dog(s). Ashley has her doctorate in ministry, with a focus on animals and ordained minister who provides blessings and prayers for you and your dog(s). Practically speaking, we offer your dog a “second home,” while you are on vacay. Let's Talk DOGS! What do we do? Weather permitting, we may be able to walk your dog(s). Dog walks are not all we do! If your dog seems interested in playing dog puzzles or scentwork games-WE DO THAT, TOO! We make our home and property a FUN place for your dog(s), according to your dog's dis/likes and abilities. There are NO additional charges for ANY of the FUN we have with your dog(s). Dogs With Special Needs We have cared for many dogs with special needs: blind, deaf, paralyzed, insulin-dependent, and administer daily medications and supplements. There are NO additional charges for us to care for a pet who has special needs. However, if the dog is chronically ill we may not be able to watch them based upon their fragility. Also, some dogs may be unable to make good decisions on certain medications, so that’s taken into consideration, as well. If you have a dog with special needs or has developed special needs, please contact us. Why We Love Dog Sitting First, we love living in community with all animals, especially dogs. Second, we have been dog lovers all our lives! Jenny and I are always involved in dog training and sports. Jenny is working towards Aspen and Willow’s hunt retrieving titles. Aspen earned her Companion Dog title in obedience and Willow earned her beginning obedience novice title. Beau has many trick dog titles and his Canine Good Citizen (Urban) title. Beau is also an accomplished AKC scent work dog. Lastly, Twig enjoys dock diving, obedience, and rally. He has earned titles in the AKC temperament test, farm dog, rally, obedience, and dock diving. Agreements: -At this time, we don't accept any of the Pit Bull/mixed breeds or some Bully breeds (i.e., Bull Mastiffs, Bulldog) -We advise not to bring children to the Meet and Greet because your dog may become protective. Plus, dogs may jump on them. A Dog's Utopia's PICK-UP/DROP-OFF Policy: For the courtesy of our home business, please drop-off before 6:00pm on the first day of reservation and pick-up before 6:00pm on the last day of your dog's reservation. If you pick up after 6:00pm, then you may be charged an additional day of boarding. At the end of your dog's stay, you may be charged a daycare fee, if you plan to pick up between 3:00pm-5:59pm. Two examples: Kaci drops Baxter off at 10am and picks him up at 10am. (NO DAYCARE FEE APPLIED) Kaci drops Baxter off at 5pm and wants to pick him up at 5pm. (NO DAYCARE FEE is applied) Rover's overnight fee is for a 24 hour period and anything beyond that time period will include a daycare fee. Example: Kaci drops Baxter off at 8am and picks him up at 5pm. (DAYCARE FEE is applied) Thank you. We look forward to working with you and your fur baby. Woof!!!! About Our Yard We have a large fenced in backyard that's about 1/2 acre. This where the dogs use the restroom and play. We have experience with dog-on-dog interaction, to include over 5,000 boarding reservations over a 9 year span. We are trained to integrate new pack members and understand dog-on-dog behavior. We know how to identify canine behavioral cues, social and pack hierarchies, and acceptable introductions and play skills. Please do not bring a dog to our home who has shown aggressive behavior towards another person or dog.
