Pet care experience
I have had animals my entire life but only professionally cared for them around 10 years now. I have a bachelors in animal science and an associate in vet tech and previously certified vet tech. I also worked at a vet hospital for 2 years where I cared for animals including cleaning, walking, feeding, and medicating. I have experience with cats, dogs, horses, cows, chickens, pigs, pet birds, smaller mammals (Guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, ferrets) and some experience with fish and reptiles. I have pet-sat with cats, dogs, snakes, geckos, and birds (including cockatoos and chickens). I have lots of experience with puppies and with geriatric dogs and am often the person people go to when they need assistance carrying their large dog up and down the stairs. I’ve also worked a lot with blind and deaf dogs. I plan to bring my 4 year old son with me to most jobs therefore it would be best if dogs are child friendly. Although, he doesn’t interact with animals much and usually ignores them except our own pets. We love pets of all shapes/types, and sizes!

She took great care of Bono, and made sure he had some good mental stimulation during her drop ins. I will definitely be using her services again.
Jenni did a great job watching our cats. Our older cat can be grumpy and is on medication and she was familiar with the medications and appropriate use. We look forward to having Jenni take care of our pets in the future!

Safety is my number one priority for everyone. I am trained in most animal emergencies. When walking dogs I use the first walk to gauge how the dog will do and plan my routes ahead of time to make sure we are all safe. I am also experienced with handling cats and other animals that may need to be handled during my visits to ensure we both are safe. I have experience giving pills by mouth and giving injections like insulin and B12

No breed preferences, but it’s always nice to know the temperament, age, and the amount of care they require. Again, child friendly animals are required.
A typical day
Walks and play for as long as they like/require and breaks when needed. Playing fetch and loads of loving practice with commands (sit, stay, come). I bring travel water and training treats to assist in our adventures.

Availability
I currently work 1-3 days a week as an in-home caregiver so I am not always available for midday care. I also am generally not available before 7am or after 6 pm.
