Hi! My name is Jen and I have been a veterinary technician for almost 20 years. I have extensive experience caring for many species including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and adorable pocket pets! Due to my professional background, I am able to assess medical conditions and emergencies should they arise, providing you with peace of mind. My pets are my children and I would love to ensure that your pets are well loved while you are busy during the day. From walks for the dogs, to playtime with cats, to allowing your bird some time out of the cage- I am here to help! If you do not see a service listed for exotic pets or your unique situation, please feel free to email me for accommodations. Besides our canine companions, I've worked with a ton of exotic animals. Dolphins, elephants, big cats, parrots, sea lions and even reptiles have all flourished and healed under my care. It's really fun to learn more about the different creatures that share our world and what makes them tick! I'd love to set up a meet and greet with you to learn more about you and your pet's needs.

Jen is a fantastic animal caregiver! I would trust her not only with my dog, but with any of my pets. Because I have the privilege of working with Jen in a veterinary setting, I have personally witnessed her enthusiasm and compassion for all animals, as well as her attention to detail and superior skill set when it comes to treating our hospitalized patients. If your pet is in Jen's care, he/she will receive plenty of interaction, enrichment, attention, and maybe even some positive-reinforcement training. Not only that, but if, for some reason, your pet did need medical attention, Jen is uniquely qualified to recognize the need and start the appropriate care. Many (if not all) people "love animals", but a truly qualified pet sitter should be able to understand a pet's social and physical needs. Jen is not only highly qualified, but highly enthusiastic about taking care of all pets! I highly recommend Jen to anyone who is looking for a fantastic animal caregiver and pet sitter.

Oak Ridge is a great town for dog walking. Most neighborhoods provide plenty of space to get your pooch outside. Special needs or older dog? No problem- cuddling on the couch and treat time works too! Does your parrot need time outside of their cage during the day? I have years of experience with parrots and feel comfortable with handling and unique needs. If you have any questions about care for other species, please feel free to message me!
