Loving care for your precious pups
Pet care experience
My husband, Steve, and I have over 25 years experience raising, training and caring for dogs. Our life literally revolves around them and their needs! During their stay your dogs will be part of our pack! Whether running in the yard, enjoying play time, sitting on a lap getting lots of love and petting, or enjoying a quiet snooze in their own bed, we will love and care for your dog as if it is our own. We both work outside the home, but are never away for more than 2-3 hours at a time. We have three separate gated dog areas in our house and during the short times we are away guests can enjoy the comfort and security of a crate, a play pen or a gated area, depending on their needs and preference. Guests will enjoy four (or more) scheduled exercise/play times a day: early morning, noontime and afternoon and evening. We have sadly had to say goodbye to five senior dogs over the past three years, but considered it a privilege to care for them as they became more frail and developed special needs. All of them were puppies at one time, so we have that experience as well. If you have a special needs pup, they will be well taken care of.
Reviews
Jennifer and her family were great at taking care of our pup. She sent plenty of pictures and updates. She definitely made Roscoe feel at home and we are very happy he was so well cared for while we were away.
My should pick him up around 2 my plane land at 5 so give a take around or 3
Nice home and backyard for my small dog. Jennifer was warm and reassuring that Pearl was in good hands. Always prompt on returning my texts and provided pictures to show me my dog was doing well. Would use her again!
Jennifer was amazing!!! Very professional!!! This was my first time using rover for overnight sitting and I instantly felt comfortable handing over my 14 year old dog. I immediately pleased with Jennifer, her home was calm, peaceful and very clean. Her back yard was completely secure. My dog has a bit of a special diet, which Jennifer handle perfectly and besides, Dixie had a plenty love and attention. My dog loved her and we will for sure use her again. K

We are only taking on small dogs (under 20 lbs) at this time. All vaccinations must be up to date, including bordetella. All boarders should be crate trained. This is where they will sleep at night ... next to our bed, safe and secure in their own crate. In the case of puppies, we can work on continuing the crate training that you have, hopefully, begun.
A typical day
Having had up to 7 dogs our of own at one time, every day is fairly structured. On a typical day we're up @ 5-6 am and outside to "take care of business" and enjoy a romp before breakfast (6 -7 am). After eating there's more time for play and outside to again "take care of business." Morning quiet/nap time starts @ 8 am and lasts until 11 am when there's more outside "TCOB" time, romping and play time. More quiet time 1 pm - 4 pm, then more outside play time, obedience training time (optional) followed by dinner @ 5-6 pm. After dinner there is more outside time to play, or a walk in the neighborhood, cuddle time on the couch, snacks, etc. We are outside for the last time @ 10-11 pm to take care of business before bedtime. Having said all that, we are very flexible and attentive to each dog's individual needs. We only accept up to two dogs at a time so that we can give special attention to our guests.
