Pet care experience
Since I was 8 years old, my whole family had a range of pets, including: dogs, cats, fresh water fish, iguanas, and birds. I've currently been fostering for the last 17 years and work alongside the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter when needed as a foster mom. I'm happy to help with any animal, no matter the size!

Jennifer goes above and beyond. My pets are always so chill and happy when I get home 🥰
Your pets are in the best hands with Jennifer. You can tell she truly loves animals. My Bella gets excited whenever she gets to go with Jennifer.
I had to leave town for 10 days and it was the first time I had to leave my cat for an extended period of time. I was really anxious about what kind of care he would be given and how well he would be taken care of, and Jennifer completely exceeded every expectation I had. Every morning and night, she sent me multiple pictures and videos, and gave me funny little updates on my cat, and let me know constantly that she was doing everything she could to make him happy and comfortable, knowing I was struggling with leaving him. If I ever have to leave town again I 100% will use Jennifer she was so great with my cat :)
Jennifer made my Murphy feel so at home it was like he had a vacation at the same time I did! She was super communicative and sent lots of fun pics and videos while I was away. I think Murphy misses her dog, Rose too. Will definitely book with Jennifer again!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a full fenced in yard, so caring for a dog isn't an issue. I can crate a pet if requested, and if a crate is provided for their stay. As for my pets: my Pembroke Corgi is good with other animals of various sizes, and is well behaved. My two cats are used to my fostering, so they're each accustomed to seeing new faces. Everyone is vaccinated and fixed.

Information Jennifer W. would like to know about your pet
It's very important that I know of any behavior triggers, medical issues, special notes, or activity requests ahead of time. I'll often bring my own treats for your pet, so if they have dietary or allergy restrictions, please let me know prior to my visit or meet & greet. I'm happy to provide overnight care and walks for any dogs I pet sit for. On walks with large breeds, I'll occasionally hire a helper for safety at no cost to the pet owner. Safety is always first!
A typical day
Depending on the breed, I entertain the animal I sit for differently. For dogs: Slower breeds or older dogs will just be a walk and simple command practice with possible interactive toys. More high energy breeds will be longer walks, more interactive play, and more advance trick attempts to burn off energy. Cats are more simple as I make sure they're fed, clean water, and clean their litterbox daily to prevent smell. I'll also lay out toys for them to play with in a specific area so that they'll be able to play whether I'm there or not.
