Pet care experience
I grew up with cats; they've always been a part of my life. My last two kitties have been older with special needs. I enjoy the challenge of getting to know a shy cat and working to build up trust. I know that cat care is more than putting down fresh food and water and changing the litter; it's brushing, and petting, and playing - on their terms. My most challenging pet care experience has been caring for a cat living with residents in a memory care facility; it was worth it. I've never met a cat I didn't love.

Clearly you'll tell me about food, treats, litter, medications, and favorite toys. It also helps to know favorite locations for play and pets (and hairballs and hiding). And it's really helpful to know if they are going to be trying to escape the second I open the door!
A typical day
I love to play with cats, whether that's throwing the crinkly ball over and over again or swinging the teaser wand back and forth or hiding the red dot around the corner. If your cat is more mellow (or a loaf, or a senior) I'm happy to play on their terms (maybe swinging that teaser over them while they roll around?). All cats get companionship and pets on demand.

Availability
I'm available all day on weekends and school vacation days. On school days, I'm available in the afternoon and early evening. My calendar reflects my availability for new kitty clients. I limit my availability for new clients so that I can almost always accommodate current clients. That being said, please know that holidays book up early!
