They are called man's best friend for a reason! I was born into an animal loving family, and was always taught to treat all animals with the utmost respect. Growing up, I had all kinds of pets over the years. From dogs and cats, to rabbits, fish, a hamster, hedgehog and turtle. Walking and feeding the dog were amongst my favorite duties, as I bonded with my dogs and truly learned their capacity for unconditional love. I became aware of how sensitive and in tune animals are, and I've loved them more than humans my whole life. My neighbors could see my heart for animals, and would ask me to walk their dogs or pet sit if going out for the night, weekend or away on vacation. It was my first real job, and the one I loved the most over the years. I worked as a nanny for 2 years and was also responsible for caring for their Chihuahua, Olive. I currently have two fur babies of my own: a 10-year-old Boston Terrier/Pug Mix, Brutus, who I've had since a puppy, and my 8-year-old Orange Tabby Cat, Moe, who I've had since a kitten. Brutus was a puppy mill rescue, and Moe was abandoned by his mother, and given to me by a friend who does feline rescue. They are my world and I love them to pieces! For the last year, I have volunteered with Tri-Boro Animal Welfare in Butler, NJ as a weekly Dog Walker. I also volunteer in their Cat Room and spend time with the kitties. It has been a totally life-changing experience, and has only made me want to work with animals more. In the past, I was also a volunteer with Second Chance Rescue out of NYC, performing home visits to screen candidates pre-adoption. I truly love and enjoy my time with animals, and hope to build relationships with some fantastic pets and their humans!
