Pet care experience
Our dog-loving family will treat your pet like one of our own! We are lifetime dog owners with two Russell Terriers, Teddy and Toby, who get along well with other dogs. Your pet will get lots of love and attention, especially from our teen daughters. Our home has a large fenced yard with lots of room to run and play, and windows looking out to watch the squirrels and birds to keep your dog entertained. If your dog likes to swim, we also have a pool. Steve works part time from home and the rest of the family is around after school and all day in the summer, so your dog will not be lonely. Your dog will receive responsible, loving, patient care. We look forward to making new dog friends.

Clearly we want to make sure your dog and ours get along before hosting your pet, so we will have a meet and greet to make sure we're a good fit. We'd like to know your dog's personality and eating and sleeping preferences and schedules. If your dog needs crating, we can accommodate that. If you'd like to bring a dog bed so your pet feels at home, that is fine but not required. We'd like to know your dogs play preferences (fetch, tug of war?) and any favorite toys. All breeds welcome. Your dog should be up to date on vaccines and flea/tick prevention.
A typical day
Our home is dog-friendly since we have two of our own. Your dog can run and play in our fenced yard with our dogs, or we can walk your dog in our quiet neighborhood on tree-lined paths. If you have a water-loving dog (ours are not!) our pool is open for a doggie swim. Lots of snuggling and room for catch and fetch. Bring your dog's favorite toys and we will keep them entertained.
