I have almost always had cats, beginning with my babyhood. I love to warm up shy cats and play with your cats when I visit them in your home. With dogs, I love walking and running in all kinds of weather, throwing balls, and doing "tricks and treats." I can work with them on basic training with positive rewards. I started volunteering with rescue groups in Massachusetts in 2010, including the MSPCA, PALS Animal Life Savers, and Broken Tail Rescue. In Somerville, Massachusetts, I cat-sat for approximately two years before I moved to Maine and started pet sitting there in 2019. Now I'm back in Massachusetts and looking forward to caring for your pets! I love every dog and cat as if it were my own, and I treat them accordingly. Each is an individual! Learning new kitty and doggie personalities is rewarding. You'll receive plenty of photos and updates from each visit.

Jennifer took wonderful care of my kitties! One of my cats is very shy, but she was sending pictures of him giving her head butts within the first 24 hours. She is clearly very knowledgeable about cats and I felt 100% comfortable leaving my cats and home in her care. She sent lots of pictures and was very communicative and I didn’t worry at all while we were gone. I would highly recommend Jennifer and hope it works out for her to take care of my babies again sometime!

With cats I want to know their purrsonalities, any medications, if they like play and what toys to play with, and if they like being brushed with a currycomb or brush. With dogs, I would like to know if the dog takes any medication, the dog's favorite toys or routines, whether the dog takes a while to warm up or trusts new people right away. I do not walk dogs with a gentle leader or any kind of nose loop; please have your dog ready to walk with a collar or harness.
A typical day
I love to play with your cats, spend time enjoying the warmth of lapcats, hanging around with shy cats, talking to them, enticing them with toys or treats to get them used to me. I like to take dogs on walks and adventures, and playing ball and fetch with dogs.
