Pet care experience
I love animals! I grew up with cats and have lived with them my entire life with the exception of two years. I've cared for hamsters and lizards as well having had them as pets as well. In the last decade plus I have had dogs too (~64 lb, boisterous, pit/boxer mixes). I have also administering medications such as pills to dogs and cats. I also have experience administering subcutaneous fluids to an ill dog as well as syringe feeding -- if this needs to be done, I will need a refresher, however.

We have used Jen a number of times to watch our three dogs and one cat. The animals all love her and are always excited to see her when she shows up. Jen treats all of the animals as if they were her own and gives them so much love, attention, and exercise. She is attentive to the pets needs as well as the requests of the humans. I highly recommend Jen for any of your pet care needs!

With cats, I pay close attention to their sometimes confusing signals for attention and solitude. Often, I'm able to gain cats trust and provide what they need beyond a litter scooping or feed and watering. I follow your instructions about off limits behaviors. For example, are you trying to extinguish a habit of drinking from the sink? Or is that the only way your animal stays hydrated? As I'm newer to being a dog person, I am not yet highly structured in my interactions with them. I will follow your instructions for behavior modification and do my best. I love playing with animals or enjoying their company during a visit delivering a much needed pet or scritch when invited. I won't just do the duties and abandon the scene. They will get some love and fun if they are up for it!

A typical day
On a visit, I will make sure to spend time interacting with your pets as close to your preferences as possible. If play is what you want for your fuzzy friend, we'll get that fun time in. I'll make sure to give your animal affection as if they were my own.

Availability
Hi! I'm currently working very part time and have flexibility during the week to come and care for your animals. I'm generally available daily from 6:30 am - 8:15 am and then 9:00 am until 3:30 pm. As I have children to get to activities, I only have some evening availability depending on the day.
