My availability is usually flexible. I do service regular clients in which I give them priority placement as they are in the healthcare field. I also have other regular clients whose pets require medication at specific times. We all work together very well when I need to shuffle visits around for any reason- including weather/construction/new bookings that require specific time frames or my own personal/family needs. please don’t hesitate to ask any questions in regards to your pet and their care or potential care. Safety, trust & environment

I always make sure that my entry and departure keeps your pet(s) from escaping your home. Once I learn their quirks, I’m clever enough to divert even the most curious kitties from doorways. Walks and potty for dogs are always on leash (unless your pup has a secure fenced in yard). I prefer they have a harness to attach their leash to. I ensure that they are completely linked and all items are ready before we exit your home. I double check that your home is secured before my departure for walks and at the end of the visit. I am respectful of your home and your privacy. I do not post photos to any social media nor do I share information about you or your pet(s) except for my toddler nieces/nephews who love to see photos of the kitties and puppies on my phone 😉 Your privacy is as important to me as my own! I keep sanitizer and wipes with me, and I use alcohol wipes on my phone before each visit.

Information Jennifer S. would like to know about your pet

Please advise me ahead of time if your pet has any preferences, quirks or behaviors that I should be aware of. My preference for dog walks is that dog(s) walk well on a leash, have leash manners. I do not provide service for aggressive dogs. I understand that puppies bounce and play bite, and that's ok as long as they have toys that I can redirect their attention to. I am excited to say that I am currently enrolled in one of the top online schools to become a certified dog trainer utilizing positive enforcement training! I am loving it!!! For the safety of your pet(s) and mine, and for best practice, I ask that you have your loves up to date with their flea/tick/worm preventatives (whichever form you choose) and have regular up to date vaccinations. Your dog must have appropriate identification tags and license to go for walks.

A typical day

After greeting dog(s), I take them out for potty upon arrival. If it’s nice outside, I’ll walk them around a bit to get them a light stretch & fresh air. I enjoy nature walks, so if the weather is nice, we’ll spend a good amount of time outside. If the weather doesn’t permit, we can play with toys inside while practicing cues or even learning new ones all while having fun! When I care for puppies, I typically take them back out for a second chance to potty before I leave and as many times as they need to. For kitties, I let them feel safe and investigate me upon entry. I give them fresh water in clean bowls, feed them, exercise them through play with their toys, pets/brushing, and clean their litter boxes. I don’t pick up kitties or place them on my lap, but if they want to climb in my lap, it’s always welcome! I do have a couple of clients whose kitties love to be held or will hug me- they have known me for over three years and they do want me to hold them the second that I walk in- that’s what they want and need, so of course they get it!

Fun, Loving, Nurturing & Caring!

Pet care experience

Mother & fur baby mother- I’ve fostered many kittens, watched over neighbors, relatives & friends dogs and cats. Our funny 12 years young foxy-russel mix rescue who was a family favorite passed this last fall. He had a great life as our best bud… from an unfortunate beginning to an adventure of a lifetime that any dog would love: hiking, exploring, camping, car rides to his nana and papa’s, snuggling with my kiddos from their toddler years and into their young adult lives, trick or treating, visiting kids every day after school, waiting for his “ok, you can go down the slide” release cue at Empty playgrounds to race up the steps and run down the slides after my kids, popping bubbles, jumping in leaf piles, sledding, playing in the sprinklers- our dog was our best friend! I treat my clients pets with the same love, fun and protection as if they were mine. I’ve had domestic short and long haired cats, AKC Persian & AKC Himalayan cat. My first dog was an AKC golden retriever and loved going for ice cream and swimming/hiking with me every chance we had! Very intuitive with animals! I treat them the way I would want to be treated! I have a flexible schedule around my child’s school arrival and departure. Typical Availability: Mon-Fri during the school year (except on breaks- which is usually the same as my weekend availability), 8:30a.m. - 1:30p.m. & 4p.m.- 7p.m. At this time, most openings are on weekday evenings and weekends which work well for felines friends! (updated 05-11-2026). Feel free to send a request if this would fit your pets schedule. Weekends and Holidays: 6a.m.- 8p.m. I may be able to accommodate other times if asked in advance. The Holidays and school breaks tend to fill quickly, so I recommend scheduling your family's needs in as much advanced notice as possible. *Please note that some time slots may need a little flexibility due to drive time, consruction or weather related occurences. I do have reliable transportation and four wheel drive for the Ohio winters! I do not offer services in my home or overnight stays in your home at this time as it’s not the season of my life for that right now. I have more flexibility in the summer months (June, July & the first two weeks in August) when my kiddo is not in school and there’s more daylight. I love dogs and cats! Love walks & playing with your dog(s)/cat(s), giving them lots of love, attention and positive praise. If they need space, I respect their space. Fresh water and the right amount of food! I survey the outdoor temperature & sidewalks before taking dogs on walks to ensure it’s not going to burn their paws. If it’s too hot, I can take them to a grassy area to exercise & potty. If the weather is not so desirable, I will play with them inside. If the sidewalks are salted, I will be sure to clean their paws thoroughly upon re-entry. (Please provide towel/wipes) I have also been blessed to learn how to administer feline insulin injections as of June 2022 and have had the opportunity to service a beautiful family with a wonderful kitty so that they could take a much needed vacation! I have worked with blind dogs and a deaf dog and am comfortable giving them extra attention to details that ensure that they are carefully and thoughtfully provided for to feel safe. I love playing with kitties and cuddling them if they love this too! I do not smoke or wear perfume, so you won’t have to worry about any allergens around your family. A dogs crate (bed) is it’s personal space. I will never make your dog feel that I would invade their safe space. Their toys belong to them and if they want to show me which ones to play with, I will gladly learn what they like and play when they want to. I always make sure there’s fresh clean water and fun activities to do. My goal is to provide exercise, food & water, toileting, positive praise with love and compassion while keeping them safe so you can rest assured while you are away.

Jennifer was absolutely incredible! she went above and beyond to make sure he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She kept me updated with thoughtful messages, adorable pictures, and videos which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she genuinely cared for Grady as if he were her own. Her attentiveness, kindness, and communication were exceptional, and I could tell he was receiving amazing care every step of the way. Leaving your baby in the hands someone else is never easy, but Jennifer made the entire experience stress-free and reassuring. I couldn’t recommend her more highly. If you’re looking for someone who will love and care for your pet like family, Jennifer is the one. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my baby, Grady!
