I grew up with my bestfriend, a golden Labrador who we adopted from the humane society. At 6 years old I trained her, because she was dominant over me and she was my responsibility until the day she passed! She was my favourite friend growing up - I was lucky to be able to walk her off-leash in the forest next door to my house. We would go on long bike rides and she would run with me, until she slowed down a bit with age. She was well trained, couldn't do many tricks but had a wonderful life - definitely had special treatment when she got older! I have been waiting to get a new dog ever since, but I am waiting until I am settled in a home and can ensure I have the time to dedicate to a dog! I volunteered at a pet groomer's in Waterloo, bathing and walking the dogs who were there. I am energetic, personable, organized and responsible. I am a very active person, love walking, running and biking and will love long walks or to parks with company of a dog! In terms of staying at your home or going for visits/walks during the day, I am very responsible and respectful. I worked as a PSW so I am used to privacy and respecting other people's homes and neighbourhoods. Dogs are very special animals in my eyes, as nothing quite brings the same happiness or smile as a little pup! I would love to share your dog experience and am very excited to have my own pup one day!
