My name is Jennifer R, and I have been an animal lover all my life. I grew up with two cats, one indoor and one indoor/outdoor, as well as a malamute mix, and I now have one dog and five cats that i care for with my family. I have dog sat occasionally throughout my life for family and friends, and I started working professionally with animals in 2017. Through my varied training, I have gained experience with many different animals. I worked at two different boarding kennels where I fed, medicated, groomed, and walked the dogs and cats that were boarding. I began my animal welfare career at an animal shelter in the summer of 2018, and since then I have learned a lot about dog and cat handling, dog training/behavior, medical procedures (i.e. vaccinations), and some information about small animals. I have received some continuing education credits from Maddie’s University in classes for animal behavior. I have also worked at two dog daycares, so I have been trained in canine body language and managing play. I have experience fostering kittens and also fostered a goose! I am very open to all sizes and breeds of dogs and cats as well as other types of pets. I hope to give your pets the love they will be missing from their parents while you’re gone!
