Pet care experience
I've owned dogs my whole life, and currently my fiance and I have a 28 lb rescue mix we've raised since she was a puppy. We adore dogs and treat our little pup like the princess she is! We live in three unit building with a deck and backyard that is private to our unit. I work at home, so your dog will never be alone. We'll always ensure there is fresh water, bathroom breaks, play breaks, and regular meals For walks or drop-in visits, I can arrange my work calls around your schedule as long as I have prior notice. A meet-and-greet with our dog is necessary for daycare and boarding. We also require all dogs to be up-to-date on rabies shots and on flea/tick medicine.

Amazing sitters and pup! Jennifer was great with our 70 lb. American bulldog and their pup Zelda was very welcoming. We will definitely use them again.
Definitely our favorite Rover sitter yet! Jennifer and her husband are true dog lovers, and took great care of our dog Stumpy. They have a beautiful condo with a private backyard that is perfect for dogs. She sent *tons* of photos (probably close to 20!) on our overnight stay, which we hugely appreciated. Highly recommended!
Jennifer took great care of Orisa! Would definitely use her again.
Jennifer has provided truly excellent care for both my cat and dog. I really appreciate that Jennifer takes care of my animals in such a loving and joyful way, but at the same time she is very careful to follow all of my instructions. My cat is almost 15, so she's a demanding client, but Jennifer makes sure that she is a happy kitty!! Jennifer is really great with our energetic dog. Jennifer takes her for walks and makes sure she gets lots of loving playtime. I'm always so impressed with the care that Jennifer provides and have complete confidence that she is caring for my pets like they are her own! Thank you, Jennifer!

Information Jennifer P. would like to know about your pet
Are they food or toy aggressive? What is their general bathroom schedule? What commands do they know? Do they have any hot spots? How are they with other dogs?
A typical day
I practice positive reinforcement with all dogs. I firmly believe that dogs learn best from rewarding behavior we want to see (not barking, laying on their bed, etc) and ignoring behavior we don't like. I never yell or physically punish a dog. I try to always keep learning about dog's expressions so I can anticipate their moods and needs. My own dog Zelda had an immense amount of anxiety and fear when we got her as a puppy. By bringing in a trainer to learn positive reinforcement techniques for dealing with her fears, and patiently working for months so she could build courage in her own time, she is now can be left alone and actually enjoys going outside. We're so proud of her! I love walking around Hoboken and letting my dog lead with her nose (she loves to smell so I never rush her! Dogs know the world through their nose). I won't take your dog to a dog park because the level of risk is too high - you can't know ahead of time what dogs will be there, the temperment of the group, and if there are responsible owners (plus it is full of bacteria that will make your pup sick).
