Hi, I'm Jennifer! I'm a huge animal lover. I grew up with dogs and have a dog of my own, Achilles. I'm a 100% work from home entrepreneur. I live in a dog-friendly condo in the West Loop, my patio proudly sports a hot pink doggie pool in the summer and I am just a few short blocks away from 2 dog parks. I watch dogs of all ages, but only watch one dog at a time (unless you are a 2 dog family, then of course I'll be watching both the pups!). My goal is to create a virtual stress-free home away from home for your dog to have fun and relax in! Your dog will feel comfortable and at ease in my two bedroom condo which includes a private, 400sf, completely fenced-in porch. Your pup will never be left unattended outside since I am always outside with the dogs. The porch will be used for getting fresh air, sunbathing (and cooling off in the dog pool in the summer!) and playing fetch. I take the dogs on walks 4 to 5 times a day for exercise and potty breaks. Your pup is more than welcome lay on my couch during the day and sleep in bed with me at night. Your dog would not be left alone for more than 4 hours and I have a wireless camera that allows me to keep an eye on the dogs when I do step out. I don’t charge extra for treats, bedtime snacks, peanut butter stuffed Kongs, one-on-one play time, cuddles, or belly rubs! I’ll treat your pup just like she’s/he’s is one of my own! I have a small crate (if you prefer/need for puppies), beds, blankets and lots of toys for your pup to enjoy. I do ask that you bring your dog’s food, food/water bowls, a non-retractable leash, a collar with ID tag, and any medications for your pup to use. I also encourage you to write out a detailed summary of your dog’s typical schedule, along with feeding instructions, for me to follow. My standard rate is $40 per night ($20 per night for a second dog). My holiday rate is $60 ($40 per night for a second dog). I watch puppies, adult dogs under 40 pounds, senior dogs and dogs with special needs. Your dog must be dog friendly, spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, as well as free from contagious diseases (i.e. kennel cough or worms). Typical pick-up and drop-off time frames are between 7am-8:30am or 5:30pm-10pm. In general I do not allow pick-ups or drop-offs before 7:00am or after 10:00pm. I can also pick up and drop off your dog ($20 round trip rate). I am comfortable caring for dogs with medical issues (require medication, blind, deaf, etc.) as well as behavior issues (food aggression, separation anxiety, general anxiety, etc.). Unfortunately I am unable to accommodate any dog with any contagious illnesses/condition. In case of emergency, I can drive your dog to the vet. I live less than 1 mile from the closest vet's office and 5.5 miles from the emergency vet.
