My house is truly not a home without the pitter patter of dogs' paws, wet noses and rolling tumbleweeds of stray dog hair my vacuum refuses to pick up. I have been a dog owner for almost 20 years and I grew up in California with more pets than people in our family. I can not imagine my life without the humor, unconditional love and happiness I get every day from being a pet owner. I live on the Upper East Side in the 70's and my real estate business is also primarily focused on the East Side down to the Union Square area. I am very fortunate to now have the flexibility in my schedule to properly provide lots of loving attention, supervision, exercise and excellent care to your beloved pets. Jack, my Golden Retriever still has a lot of puppy in him at 5 years old so he openly welcomes his furry friends to visit and play but he is also sensitive by nature so if you have a fragile or senior dog he will respect your pet’s space. I traveled extensively for work in my past positions and still enjoy traveling for pleasure so I know firsthand and appreciate how difficult it is to leave your loved ones while away on business or pleasure, I truly empathize and appreciate the worry of leaving your dog in the hands of someone you trust and feeling confident they will treat your furry family the same as you do. I now like to and I am fortunate enough to be able to extend that same luxury to my clients. I have a large and very comfortably spacious 1 bedroom apartment which offers your pet plenty of room to play, stretch and lounge around in and if preferred they can have their own private dining accommodations without Jack hovering around while they eat. He doesn't chew his food so he is done eating within seconds and tends to think any left overs are meant for him. You will also receive communication, updates and photos of your loved ones as frequently as you like and I will communicate any concerns or issues I feel might be out of the ordinary for your pet. I will consider most breeds so long as they are not aggressive towards Jack and his space. I do think it is vital and necessary to socialize the dogs in a neutral space outside of my home such as a park or out on a walk and then gradually move them into my apartment if we feel they are getting along. Even though my schedule is flexible and I work from home a lot, there will be times where I will need to be away for a few hours at a time so I want to make we are confident our pets will play and keep each other company harmoniously while unsupervised for short periods of time. I will also travel to your home to care for your dog or cat while you are away so long as it is on the Upper East Side located between 70th and 86th streets with considered flexibility, I won't say no if your home is on 69th street. I will also consider the same geographic area for safe and secure drop off and pick ups. You can rest easy that your family will be well cared for as if they are my own and I will always follow your personalized instructions such as feeding, administer necessary medications within reason (I'm not trained to give shots), hygiene requirements, exercise expectations (we are close to Central Park, Carl Schurz Park and dog runs) and any other pertinent needs your pet will require while enjoying their vacay at Jen & Jack's Paw Spa.
