Pet care experience
I've enjoyed nine years professional experience in Sonoma County, CA. Many of my clients became family. I had a varied schedule with families who needed regular dog walks while they were working, and also loved up dogs and cats while their humans were traveling far away. I've relocated to my home state of Michigan after losing all in the Northbay wildfires of 2017. I'm in the Rochester Hills area and want to be surrounded by pets again. I have a quiet, respectful nature-and I incorporate my massage and Reiki (energy work) background to bring ease and security to my visits/walks. I love finding out what makes your pet happy, and making our time together fun. And I share my home with two crazy, but sweet kitty cats.

Jennifer provides an excellent petsitting service. From the careful, attentive notes she took to prepare for petsitting, to the daily photos and updates of my cats, I felt sure that they would be well taken care of. While preparing to leave for vacation, I was worried about leaving my cats for a week. But seeing how much attention and care she gave to them, it put my mind at ease. By the time I came back home, my cats hardly knew I was gone.
You won’t find a more caring pet sitter than Jennifer. It’s one of the true blessings in my life to have found someone so responsible and so in tune with my pets needs. She texts me daily updates including pictures of what they are doing. She asks me about things that I didn’t even think to tell her about. My cats are so relaxed when I get home from a trip that I don’t worry about planning my next one. This is more than a job for her, it’s a true calling. Don’t hesitate to hire her!

I am careful if I photograph your pet (with your prior consent) about what is in the background. And I do not post anything on social media. I build relationships through focused attention, positive reinforcement, play and other strategies the client knows are effective. And I have fun, learning what makes your pet happy and secure.

I love walking dogs who are trained with positive reinforcement. I use sensation harnesses and gentle leaders, practice safety (stop before crossing the street), and do not mix with other dogs (or people) while out on trails or walkways. If I know your dog’s triggers (squirrels, other dogs) I can redirect them when needed.
A typical day
I love to help them be mentally and physically satisfied. We play in your yard, fetch, chase or go on walks. I brush them if they like it. Hide (approved) treats for them to find.

I am available for pet visits and dog walks Monday through Friday mid morning till mid afternoon. I have no other commitments at this time of the day.
