Hello! My name is Jaimo, but I used to go by Jennifer, and I have been professionally involved in animal care for the past 10 years varying from working at an animal shelter in Costa Rica, to being a dog walker in New York City, to professional pet sitting in Scottsdale, and working as an Animal Enrichment Specialist at the Arizona Humane Society! I just moved to Portland and am taking on a new role in animal welfare, but I have loved our furry friends my entire life! At my last job I was lucky enough to spend my work days focusing on creating an enriching and exciting environment for pets staying at our shelter. My career in animal welfare requires me to stay up-to-date on the latest research regarding animal safety, animal welfare, and animal behavior. I used to spend my days working with the most high-need animals in our shelter ensuring that they received all the extra love and care they deserve! As your pet sitter, I will bring not only my professional expertise but also my personal passion and dedication to providing your pets the best possible care.

J-mo was great with my dog. I felt really comfortable leaving g her at her house. I would book again. She is her responsible, professional, and responsive.
My dogs had the best time at Jaimo’s place! There’s a large, fully fenced yard with plenty of space to romp about, access to both indoors and outdoors throughout the day, and plenty of photos sent my way over the 4 days I was out of town for work. I have a 7 month old golden retriever and a 7 year old goldendoodle, both of whom are fairly high energy, and Jaimo did a great job keeping them engaged and sending plenty of photos of all the fun that was had. Thanks again for everything, I highly recommend for other dogs!
Jaymo was amazing! She took such great care of my sweet girl. She was super responsive, sent cute pics and kept me informed of how Ava was doing. She also has the cutest cat and dog of her own which helped! Thank you, Jaymo!!
Jaimo did a wonderful job watching my 2 cats while I was gone for the long 4th of July weekend. She was very courteous, super quick to respond and kept me updated with pictures and notes about how they were doing. On the last day, when my travel plans had changed and I was to arrive earlier than planned, she was very understanding and accommodating.

The pets in my care are always my top priority, and I approach each pet with a unique perspective that best fits their needs. I have a large fully fenced and secure backyard where pups can sunbathe or play fetch or just enjoy running around and exploring new smells!

I’d love to know more about your pet’s favorite treats and toys and places to sleep! It is also important for me to know any special dietary or medical needs. Other important information would be if your pet is anxious, high arousal, or dog/cat reactive. I have experience taking care of animals with all different needs, so any pet will be given all the love and care they need!

I always try to bond with your pets through play! I have a surplus of toys and treats that I use to make sure your furry loved one stays as entertained as possible!

I just moved to Portland two years ago and started working remotely for Compassionate Pet Care. I will be working from home and am able to attend to your pet while working.
