Growing up in the country the family dog was my co-pilot on all life's adventures to the nearby creek, hiking in the woods and all of the moments in between. I was fortunate enough to 'raise' my first pup- an Australian Shepherd mix, Lotus- who was my best friend through my 20s and some of my 30s and was one of the most loyal well- behaved dogs I have ever known. But have also had my share of caring for friends and family's more wild, and energetic dogs of all sizes from mini-poodles to wolf mixes- and enjoyed my time with each of them. I have cared for very young pups and kittens and also loved for those who are near the end of their lives or struggling with illness. I’ve adopted a wild one- a husky collie mix and also have a dutch shepherd/lab mix.
