More than 28 years ago I became a dog/house sitter for my Aunt's in-laws. Their furry baby was a sweet, old Golden named Buck. His owners commented on how Buck was renewed with energy after I took care of him. It was a rewarding job, especially hearing that! Many years later my husband and I fell in love with our own fur baby, an amazing Husky/Lab/Akita who taught us I a lot! We hired a personal dog trainer from the time he was a puppy until he passed away. We became compassionate experts of taking care of our head-strong, yet loving mixed-breed. Our love for mountain dogs continued and we while visiting Breck, we stumbled upon the cutest puppy ever and it was a sibling of who became our Malamute, Keiva. Keiva had been the solo Diva in our home for the last 8 years. She passed away the week of Thanksgiving (2018) which was heartbreaking. But now that allows us to serve families like ours and give other fur babies our love and attention in honor of her sweet spirit. We are very comfortable with senior and special-needs dogs (one of ours had epilepsy, one had aggression challenges). Please note, we do have lots of stairs outside on the back deck that enters into our large, flat yard. With our amazing CO weather. I love being outdoors playing in the yard and at dog parks on the weekends!
