Pet care experience
Hi my name is Jennifer. I have had dogs whole life and cats all of my adult life. I have volunteered as a member of the Jacksonville, FL AKC obedience and breed club while I was in high school. Right now I am a mom to two sweet kitties that are brother and sister litter mates named Peaches and Nacho they are 3 years old. I also have one velcro Australian Shepard dog named Bash and he is 1.5 years old. I like to keep my family, and the pets that I care for, on a regular schedule. We get up and first thing I let any dogs out for a potty break. Then if they get a morning meal that's given and if not I crate my pup while he eats his morning meal and the humans eat our. Then the kids, pups and I go out for a walk anywhere from 1-3 miles depending on the weather. Afterwards we come home for lunch and let the puppies take a rest in the afternoons. After that my youngest and I pick up her big brother and sister from school and then we come home and work on dinner and homework for kids and I prepare dinner time meal for the humans and pup and my kitties. Then if the sun is still up we go for another walk and if it’s down they go into the fenced back yard for a potty break while I give the kiddos a bath and get them ready for bed. Then After my children are in bed I snuggle on the couch with the dogs and then one last potty break then bed time, which is usually with me in my room unless the dog Mom or Dad asked to have them crated at bedtime.

-I have a 4ft tall fenced in decent sized back yard with spring loaded gates so they will never be left open for potty breaks and play time. -I walk the dogs 1-3 miles at least once daily (unless it’s snowing or raining hard, above 95 or below 30 or we are under a tornado or hurricane warnings -If we have those warnings you dog will be taken only on potty breaks and will be leashed while doing so to prevent a dog from getting scared and trying to escape. -I have one automatic litter box for all the cats and one regular litter box. -I provide one scratching place in each dog free space. -I provide two dog free spaces (one litter box each) for any kitties to enjoy if they are not a fan of the pup. -I feed my pup and you pups twice a day unless requested otherwise. - I always feed dogs separately (either crated or different rooms to cut down on any aggression issue your dog may have and to prevent sharing) - I feed my cats and yours once daily and leave the bowl out all day. However if they are on a special diet then as directed by you or vet and always alone to prevent my cats from sharing. -My auto litter box is changed twice a week or whenever i start watching a new kitty -My regular litter box is put down fresh for each new kitty and scooped daily and completely changed weekly with fresh clumping clay litter ( unless they he owner brings a special litter) -my pets are not currently on any medications but I have worked at a vet and I am well versed in medication administration orally and otherwise. I am more then happy to help give you animal his or her meds as often as prescribed. - I can also clean and flush ears, clip/ grind nails, give (dogs only) baths and brush dogs and cats as requested. I will only use the brushes, flush and shampoo provided by the owners unless other discussed in advance. -All dogs sleep in my room or their crate and cats are shut in dog free spaces to prevent and night time mischief.

Information Jennifer L. would like to know about your pet
1. I need to know if your dog is good with kids, cats and other dogs. 2. Do they require medication? I will only give it, if it’s in the correct container or I have spoke with your vet. 3. Do they require something special for their food or potty needs? Are they not allowed to eat anything specific? 4. Do they share toys well? 5. How do they do on a leash? If they pull I will discuss with you how I handle that with more then one dog (yours and mine) 6. How and where in the house do they sleep best? 7. Are they allowed to and how well do they ride in the car (dogs only)? 8. Is there anything that scares them, such as men in hats or lightening? 9. Is there anything unique that they do that i should know about, such and growl in pleasure when getting scratches or chew all shoes? 10. Any medical conditions they have so if i need to take then to the emergency vet I’ll already know?
A typical day
I like to treat the dogs I watch as family. They are always with the family doing whatever we are doing. I let them sleep in my bedroom, go on walks with me and the kids, cuddle up on the couch and watch TV. Unless you tell us not to we like to go to a local dog park and play fetch on nice days.
