Pet care experience
I've cared for a dog (or dogs!) since childhood, and I absolutely love taking care for four-legged fur babies. All dogs are family in our house! I am trained in animal first-aid, and have experience working with dogs of all sizes - we had Newfoundlands growing up, and I have a Shih Tzu/terrier mix now. I have a Master's in Education and apply the same methods to my animal care as I used in the classroom. I'm patient, flexible, and provide a positive environment for doggos to feel safe and relaxed while away from their homes. My husband grew up on a 5,000-acre family farm, and has cared for animals his whole life. He also has extensive experience with dogs of all sizes.

Jen and Odie are so wonderful! I was super nervous to try Rover again after a bad experience, and Jen made me feel so much better by showing her home/where he’d be playing, and I felt so at ease with leaving my baby with her. She also was flexible with my last-minute reservation and his drop off/pickup times. If we lived in the area, Juneau would stay with Jen regularly. Thank you so much!!!
I had a great experience with Jennifer dog sitting my pup. She made sure I was comfortable from the beginning by offering a tour of her home and yard (which was very neat and clean!) She sent me pics throughout my dog’s stay. She genuinely cares and loves dogs and made my skittish rescue pup feel welcomed. I will certainly use Jennifer’s services again!

We have a large fenced-in and shaded backyard, sidewalks and trails nearby for long walks, and I have lots of flexibility in my work day to take your dog for walks! The house is "dog-proof" - we don't have any valuables or anything that could get knocked down, there is a gate on the upstairs steps, and the trash has a snap lid to prevent accidents.

A typical day
We love to chase bunnies in the backyard, smell new smells on our daily walks around the neighborhood, or go for a longer walk on one of the many trails nearby! We have all kinds of puzzles and games for dogs to play during the day when not on a walk to keep their minds stimulated, and lots of exercise in the afternoon and evening to keep them physically active.

Availability
I work from home, so am around 24/7 to give your dog full-time attention! I take my own dog out for a walk in the morning (between 9am-10am), then again at lunch time (between 12pm-1pm), and again in the evening (between 5pm-6pm). I play with our dog in the back yard in the late evening hours, before cuddling up on the couch for snuggle time. I would be happy to add your dog to this schedule, or work with you for a schedule that fits your dog's unique needs.
