I don't have any specific education, but I do have experience in caring for many different kinds of pets. Growing up I've had many different types of pets, except reptiles, all of which I had for long periods of time (one year or longer). When I was younger, I studied many books and watched over other people's pets before I got my own. Even then, there was nothing that stopped me from researching or learning from other people who work with animals as a profession. I love all animals, especially dogs of all sizes, as I have four of my own along with a cat. My oldest is Jena who is a chihuahua and has been in my life for 14 years and still thinks she's a puppy! Next is Kato, a dachshund/rat terrier mix who is now 5 years old. My other girl is Aspen, maltese/shih tzu mix who is 3 years old and last but not least, Prince who is my only pure bred (Rottweiler) and he is one. My cat, Noah, does not live with me because my whole family is allergic to him but he does stay with family down the street so I commute to care for him. I raised him since he was 6 days old and abandoned and he is now 2 years old and loves being outdoors! All of my pets have been rescued, are both inside and outside dogs, and are well-trained off and on leash. I have experience caring for small animals (hamsters, rabbits, hedgehogs, ducks, mice), birds, tarantulas, dogs, amphibians (turtles/tortoises, bearded dragons) and cats. I did take animal behavior classes or classes involving animals in college. I did a research study on wolves in a graduate class in 2015, where I spent 3 months at a wolf conservation center studying face recognition and pointing cues of wolf and wolf-dog hybrids compared to dogs. Love being outdoors with my dogs, we are usually at the park 2-3x a week, go hiking a few times a month if weather permits, and do other activities with my dogs when I can such as kayaking, canoeing, etc.
