Pet care experience
Animals have been a passion in my life as far back as I can remember. I am a pitbull mama who fell in love with the breed in my early 20s. I learned about their breed by raising a pitbull mama and daddy and their three babies. That pack shaped me into who I am today. I have worked at a pet boarding facility many years ago, and most recently worked at the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA for almost 2 years. My husband and I currently own 7 pit bulls and 7 cats. Let’s not forget the 10 ducks and five chickens! I can promise you that I will take the best care of your best friend, and treat them like my own providing them with lots of love and enrichment.

Was great to meet Jen before she took my dog for a walk. He took to her immediately and you can tell she loves animals! She has a lot of experience with animals and I appreciated the details she provided on the walk.
Jennifer was recommended to us by a walker we use regularly when she wasn’t available. She was able to care for our pups last minute, and was great with communication. I would highly recommend her for your pups, and I’m so glad we have another trusted and reliable walker that our pups and we love!

All of our dogs have GPS tracking collars on as well as invisible fence security. Our cats have Apple tags on them for safety. All of our cats and dogs are indoor animals and no one sleeps outside. Safety is the most important thing to me and I assure you I will make sure I am the safest I can be with your pet.

Please let me know if anything that I can do to help this be the best experience for you and your pet. I have had experience with dogs, large and small, including behavioral dogs, dogs with stranger danger, anbd separation ann to name a few. I have had experience working daily at an animal shelter and I’m willing to work with each animal no matter what the issue. I also have experience working with, kittens, adult cats and senior cats.
A typical day
It really is true. If you do something you love, it’s not considered work at all. I absolutely love enrichment. My husband and I have seven pits and it takes a lot of energy to wear them out and we have to get creative. Dogs need to be stimulated to burn their energy off & I love helping them do that. Going and discovering new places or going for a long walk, if that is what your dog prefers. My goal is to have them happy and tired out when you get home!

Availability
I am available Monday through Friday and some weekends. I am fairly flexible, I just ask that there are not any super early bookings or bookings after 5 PM if possible so I can also take care of my pack. We can look at schedules on a case by case basis and customize based on individual needs.
