Pet care experience
Focusing on only one dog at a time in the comfort of their own home, I am able to ensure a high standard of quality care for your pet. Having worked with animals since I was 16 & grown up with high energy breeds, I am well-equipped to manage dogs of all ages - adapting to suit their individual needs. I previously trained as a vet physio, so you can trust your pet is in experienced hands. I have recently completed a canine first aid course, am insured & have experience with reactive dogs. If your dog has separation anxiety - please let me know! I welcome bookings for dogs with SA as I understand the challenges of finding reliable pet care but I do need to know in advance.

Jennifer attended my training classes with her dog and she was always attentive to his needs, attuned to his and the other dogs’ body language and is a gentle well-educated handler, able to get the best out of her dog and others using kind, ethical & positive methods. Jennifer has successfully managed & improved her own dog’s reactivity and is confident handling a variety of dogs - I have 2 large dogs of my own and I would not hesitate to ask Jennifer to look after them, she is honest and reliable and would treat your dog like her own, giving the highest standard of care.

I will follow care instructions to the letter and ensure your pets routine is not disrupted, this enables them to feel more relaxed. I only use force/fear free (R+) training techniques and will not use any aversive tools on your dog.

Please let me know if your dog has any behavioural or health issues so I know how to manage them. Dogs with separation anxiety welcome - if you book daycare or home boarding, I will ensure they’re not left alone! Reactive dogs also welcome - but please be honest about their behaviour.
A typical day
I will typically follow the routine they have in place & during their stay with me I will ensure your dog gets enrichment activities (brain games), plenty of toilet breaks as necessary, a good walk/playtime and plenty of rest.

Availability
Please get in touch about availability - I am quite flexible but I do need to ensure I have someone home for my own dog. I currently work in a hybrid role full time & have a dog of my own so I fit dog sitting around my work and caring for my own dog. Presently, I am typically available evenings and weekends, but from mid-April I can offer more daytime flexibility and from the end of June, I can take longer bookings up to a week in length. Please contact me to discuss your requirements & dog’s needs first.
