Aloha! I have been taking care of friends and family’s dogs and cats for over 20 years. I currently live on the island of Kauai in Lihue and can take care of your best friends while you are either island hoping or on a longer vacation. I work from home helping my husband with his business so I am easily available all the time. When I lived in NYC I was a retail merchandise buyer, manager and Pet Food educator for an upscale Doggie Daycare. My in-laws were longtime NYC dog walkers, pet sitters with a very loyal and prestigious clientele and I would often assist them with their clients. I know from personal experience that it is hard to find a reliable, trustworthy Pet Sitter as I have lived all over the world and its a challenge to find someone who you can count on to truly take care of your pets with love. I currently have two chihuahua mixes that I love with all my heart and there is nothing I would not do for them. My partner watches them all day so I can travel to your house and stay over night when needed. I am able to take care of dogs that weigh up to 40 lbs or larger. All Dogs and cats must easily walk on a leash unless you have a fenced in back yard. I have no restrictions in regards to Cats when I house sit at your location. Other exotic animals such as pigs, goats and birds and their specific requirements can be discussed. My services Include: Brushing, playing, walking, hiking, feeding and water refreshers. If your dog watches tv and movies like mine do I can keep the tv on for them and if they have certain shows they like to watch let me know :) . If your pet needs medicine just leave instructions and your veterinarian's number. I have been very lucky to find both a holistic vet and a regular Vet that I like very much on the island as well as a powerful Healer after one of my dogs had pancreatitis and almost died. If you need referrals I highly recommended them. Any health conditions must be forthcoming so I can make sure that I am mindful to watch with a keen eye. Holistic Dog Care- I have prepared all of my dogs meals for the past 11 years and can cook meals for your dogs as long as you provide the food and a kitchen to cook in. I only charge an extra small fee for preparation and prepare for a maximum of 3 days in advance to keep freshness. My dogs have been eating this way their entire lives and have been incredibly healthy partly due to their diet of organic veggies and meats. Traveling to other islands- I will travel to other islands and do service Maui, Kaui and Oahu. Clients are to provide air fare and transportation to and from residence.
