Pet care experience
I have worked with animals of all types during my professional career in and around veterinary medicine. My undergraduate degree is in Animal Behavior, and I went to veterinary school to ensure that the animals in my care were going to have their best opportunity to be healthy their whole lives. I did not ultimately become a doctor, but I do know how to care for animals in any stage of life or health. It's actually who I am. Additionally, I have taken in dogs that have come from horrible situations, nursed them back to life and then taught them to trust the world again as a foster mom. I've been the last thing an abandoned, terrified, and injured pet saw and felt before they went to the rainbow bridge. When I say that I've dedicated my life to the human-animal bond, I mean it. Getting your pet to fall in love with me is the end goal- then they are just home with someone else they love that cares for them & they hardly notice you're away. For animals that board in our home, they will live just like Dolly does, with free access part of the time and nap and quiet times in the crate in the center of the action.
Reviews
Jennifer and her husband make your dog so much at home that you can relax knowing the dog is on vacation. My very anxious new dog was totally chill and worn out from playing with her similar sized dog.
Dogs are well loved and cared for
Benji seemed very happy during his stay at Jennifer’s. We really appreciated the pictures and videos each day. I would highly recommend Jennifer to watch your dog while you’re away.
Dogs had a great time

Our yard is large and fully enclosed, with enrichment activities available like a dig pit and sprinklers to run in on those really hot days. Dolly is friendly and has raised 3 litters of puppies so she can definitely mommy those puppies in need of it.

Information Jennifer F. would like to know about your pet
Meet and greets should happen at a neutral location if at all possible. I love dogs, but I understand that they don't all automatically love strangers. I let the pet lead the introduction. If they're jumping into my lap offering kisses, I'm all about that! But if they're shy or wary, I know how to ignore them and let them come to me. With a degree in Animal Behavior and as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, I am flexible and able to meet any dog on their terms.
A typical day
Your dog has a schedule they’re used to, and I know how important it is that they can continue to trust their world, especially while their people are not there. That is why it is so important to me that we communicate extensively prior to the start of my stay. So, while maybe one dog likes to be to the local dog park by 7, perhaps another likes to sleep in and get a bit of breakfast before she does her lap around the block. Or maybe she is much happier to get all of that exercise thing done before the sun comes up to take advantage of cooler morning temps. My schedule is entirely flexible to fit your dog's needs. I like to take dogs places that they know and are comfortable going to. I like to explore neighborhoods, and the best way to do that is at the other end of a dog's leash. I’d love to know your dog’s favorite parks and walking routes.
