Hi! I’m Jen! I’m a special education teacher during the day and a dog mom at night! IMPORTANT INFORMATION!: I’m a true dog lover and while your dog stays with us, my only goal is that your dog feels just as comfortable, loved and happy at my house as they do yours. I’m comfortable with all sizes and temperaments and have over 7 year of fostering experience. I understand some need time and patience and others need to go for a run to get that energy out, whatever it is your dog needs, I’m ready for it all. I do require a meet and greet between your dog(s) and mine before boarding your dog. Meet and greets are not necessary for drop-in visits or walks. I will only service one client at a time for the safety of all dogs involved. I will consider more than 2 dogs from one client on a case by case basis. MY BACKGROUND!: I have had always had a love for dogs, ever since I could talk. When I was 7, I was blessed with my very own Corgi pup, Pepper! Shes was my world. After 12 years of companionship, she was diagnosed with cancer and I was told she would probably only have a few months left. Unintentionally, my mom and I stumbled upon the most perfect little boy, Jake, a Chihuahua/JRT mix at the Super Pet Expo. We adopted him from Cold Nose Warm Heart Dog Rescue and without knowing it, would later become a permanent foster family with CNWH. Jake and Pepper built a bond and he became her driving force for the next 3 YEARS! Since then Jake has assisted me in fostering over 100 dogs from whelping a pregnant Blue Heeler mom and then raising her seven puppies, to a ton of Chihuahua attitude (my personal favorite) or Labs and Pits running laps in my yard, I’ve seen and dealt with a lot over the years but I’ve also learned a lot and it only makes me love each dog more. I truly believe the saying “who rescued who” A few months ago, my fiancé, Joe and I adopted Cooper, a Potcake from Antigua through Bridges to Safety. He’s a complete goofball and always keeps us laughing. He loves to sunbathe, snuggle and play with other dogs. At only 5 months old, he’s learning how to respect other dogs and is attending obedience classes. We believe in structure and maintaining a good routine in our home. You can be assured that we will continue the training that you have used with your dogs while you are gone.
