Pet care experience
I'm the owner of All Living Things Pet & Livestock Sitting. I started this business about 14 years ago in Las Vegas & have been in St George for 9 years now. I've worked in the animal industry in some capacity for nearly 40 years as a riding instructor, barn manager, groom, shelter manager, animal control officer, veterinary assistant, dog groomer, dog trainer, and pet sitter. I've trained my own dogs in virtually every kind of dog sport available. My clients have included sheep, pigs, goats, cattle, rabbits & other small rodents, tortoises, chickens, ducks, horses, bearded dragons, large & small birds, large exotic cats, tarantulas, and of course, dogs & cats. I can administer, subcutaneous, intramuscular, & intravenous (dogs only) injections, and am certified in CPR & First Aid by Pet Tech. My experience is extensive, and animals aren't just the only profession I've ever known, they’re my passion! One very important piece of information… I require all dogs boarded in my home to have proof of a current rabies, parvo, distemper, and bordetella vaccine, or a current clear titer test. Most people either screen shot/photograph this, and text it to me, or have their vet e-mail me directly. I have two dog friendly, and social, dogs of my own, as well as typically having a variety of other social dogs here for daycare and boarding. It’s busy, and it’s fun! I do keep a separate play area in my main living space for small dogs, and trips outside are done on a rotation. All dogs must be crate trained for nap time, and to allow for the rotation of less social (or smaller/larger) dogs, or for instances when I have to step out for an errand.
Reviews
Jennifer is always wonderful to our dogs! She is fantastic!
Sky had a great experience with very short notice. Thanks Jennifer!
We could not be more pleased with the care of dogs received, the communication and the ease.
Jennifer took really great care of our elderly dog. We will definitely use her again in the future.

Safety, trust & environment
I have several large & secure crates for dogs here. I utilize them for feeding, so dogs don’t try to share, or argue, at meal time. Also for anytime I have to step out, have drop off/pick ups, meet & greets etc. Basically, dogs are always secured either in crates or my yard, anytime my front door gets opened.

Information Jennifer D. would like to know about your pet
It's crucial for me to know the pet's schedule, because a consistent routine helps to keep pets stress free. I'm also very interested in any established behavior requirements by the pet parent, as well as any behavior problem, or signs of stress, the pet might exhibit. I never want a client to come home to a pet displaying a new undesirable behavior. Of course all medical information, past & present, is imperative as well. It’s best to bring your dog’s food, and a few comforts of home. Like a blanket, or bed, and maybe a favorite toy, & treats.
A typical day
I have a large dog friendly backyard & dogs are always supervised there. We go out every hour or two for short potty breaks & a little play. I don’t walk client dogs. Because of the threat of other off leash dogs, it’s not a liability I like to assume. Dogs here typically meet their own need for exercise playing together. My yard is also big enough for a good game of fetch for dogs that like that. I offer dog training as a separate service of my own business. I use a positive, balanced, and somewhat unique marker based system for communication. I've yet to see a dog not thrive with this simple technique, and at least one session including "pet parent participation" is required.

Availability
As of January 2 2022, I’ll be accepting dogs for daycare, and be available to my boarding dogs 7 days a week! Daycare will be weekdays only, to accommodate the training schedule of my personal dogs. Rover sitting and daycare is my full time job, in addition to the board & train clients I have through my private business.
