Jennifer has been Sawyer’s “nanny” since November 2014. I consider her Sawyer’s nanny because Jennifer is so much more than a dog walker. After daily walks, she will play ball with Sawyer and has even taught him tricks. Sawyer is a 70-pound Golden Retriever, and although she is trying to teach him not to jump, he still goes crazy when she comes into the house. When I work from home, he watches out the window and door waiting for her to arrive at her usual time--sometimes he will whine as he waits. I even fear he misses her on weekends!! But the real testament to Jennifer’s loving way with dogs is how Sawyer gazes adoringly at her—and when she cares for other dogs in the neighborhood, they look at her the same way—it’s amazing. Sawyer definitely has a special bond with Jennifer. Not only are Sawyer and I happy to have Jennifer, he is certainly healthier from his long walks with her. Before she started walking him, he was a tad chubby; that is no longer a problem. Sawyer is definitely happier, healthier, and wiser with Jennifer as his nanny, and I have peace of mind that he is in loving and capable hands.
