Although I don't have years of experience taking care of pets as a career. I've always been in love with all animals big and small. I had a cat for 17 years that I cared for as a kitten to her maturity. And a Jack Russell for ten years before having to give to a friend to care for because she had a home and a big yard and could give attention to him more than I could as I was in bed rest from having my son almost six years ago. Since then my son has grown to love animals as much as I do. And since I live in an apartment being a single parent paying a pet deposit to own our own and care for pet is not possible at the moment. They advertise as pet friendly but their prices are not affordable to someone like me at the time. I'm a self employed business owner as a hairstylist for 15yrs my schedule is flexible. And am looking to fill in hrs when I'm not working there to doing something else I love to do which is caring for animals. My goal with rover is to be able to make extra money to be able to pay our pet deposit and have your furry partner come visit us at our home sometime when you need to go away. I have "pet fever" all the time and love taking care of my clients,family, and friends pets when they need help. I could say that you could describe me taking care of your pet like a grandparent having their grandchildren over, they get to spoil them and give them their undivided attention knowing that they go back to their parents at the end of the day! Although I'm new to rover by just finding out from a client of mine that I've helped take care of her pets while they are away working out of state sometimes I hope to be able to expand a little more than the word of mouth I've recieved before. I'm excited to see what wonderful animals I'll meet along the way with Rover. Please give me a chance, this is not just for extra income but to fulfill my desire to take care of pets since I can not have none of my own right now. I hope to have a home in the future to give my child and our future furry friend a big backyard to run around in! With giving me a chance, I can promise you you will be pleased and if I know I can't fulfill your needs I am honest enough to let you know and not just be someone to accept a job just for the money. I have a six yr old son and when he was little and even now when needed I know what it feels like to make sure your leaving them in the right hands!
