Cozy, Safe Haven for Your Pet!
Pet care experience
UPDATE 8/30/23: Limited availability to allow for adjustment and training period of a new rescue pup addition to the family. If you're a new client, please check with me to see if I would be available. Thanks for understanding. I've owned and cared for dogs and cats for 28 years, both large and small (including Pitbull mixes and Great Danes), giving me a variety of experiences that have helped me learn their unique personalities and characteristics, how to best care for and train them, and to simply enjoy their companionship! My current fur baby (see below for an update), Biscuit, is a large, very friendly, and playful Golden Retriever who gets along great with other animals. In addition to caring for my own pets, I've had the privilege of taking care of pets (dogs, cats, and even small lizards!) belonging to my friends and neighbors while they were away; feeding them, walking them, providing and enjoying their companionship, and giving medications when needed. Many clients have mentioned they especially enjoy the pictures I send to help them feel more comfortable and confident during their time away. I also have experience taking care of puppies. Whenever possible I like to have some time to get to know you and your pet prior to your time away to provide an opportunity to learn about your personalities, special needs and/or routines, and any training needs or goals so that I can make the stay as stress free as possible for both you and your pet!
Reviews
Jennifer is amazing. We're very protective of our boy, Luna, but are minds were at ease when we met and got to know Jennifer. She is selective with the dogs she chooses to watch and schedules introductions and play dates to ensure it would be a good fit for both parties. Plenty more can be said about Jen, but I highly recommend if you are looking for a caring individual for boarding purposes.
As always, Jennifer went above and beyond our expectations!! We did not have one worry leaving our dog with her for 4 nights. She treats him as her own and keeps you well informed, he had a blast.
Absolutely amazing, my Goldendoodle adores her! Jennifer goes above and beyond anything and everything she does!
Jennifer was great! She took care of our puppy as if he was her own. She sent pics and videos to let me know how he was doing. I felt at ease knowing he was in such good hands!

My home is very pet friendly and safe! There are lots of toys for play and entertainment, and my dog, Biscuit, is always available too, for play or companionship for your pet. All entrances have two doors (patio door/screened in lanai, screened front door/exterior door, garage door/interior door leading into the home) so slipping out is extremely unlikely and doors are kept locked at all times. If you prefer your pet to be crated at any time during the day and/or bedtime, or if this is their happy, safe place please just let me know. At this time, I would like to keep it to one dog for boarding or daycare per day. I want to make sure your pet is comfortable, and with multiple pets on top of my dog(s), there is a potential that this could cause unnecessary stress for your pet. If the service you are choosing is Dog walking or Drop-in Visits, I will make sure to check their water and food bowls (if needed), clean up any pet messes as needed, make sure all equipment (leash, collar etc) is put back where it belongs, play / cuddle with your pet during my visit. Let me know if you or your pet needs anything else. I know it can be hard sometimes to give a person you don't know very well access to your home. Please know that I take my job seriously and will be very respectful of your home, belongings, and pet! Update 7/2023: I recently rescued and adopted a male 35lb Tennessee Trail Brindle. His name is Loki. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. He is currently being treated for heartworm (not contagious to other dogs) and will be kept to low activity for the next several months. He is also in training and working on his socializing skills.

Information Jennifer C. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pet has any special needs and/or medications. I also like to know about their personality and what is normal for them (examples: Are they aggressive to other dogs, people, cars while walking? What is their energy level like? etc)! Each pet has their own quirks and knowing these can help me make their stay comfortable and enjoyable. I also like to get emergency information. While I strive to prevent emergencies and make sure they have a safe visit, I like to make sure we have a plan for your pet just in case. It is also helpful for me to know any commands they know (if any) - this way I can utilize what they know.
A typical day
We will go on walks around the neighborhood - there are lots of walking paths in and around the neighborhood that I usually walk them so they can go potty, get some exercise, and catch all the scents! We will also play with a variety of toys and if your pup has some training to do, we can incorporate that into the day! If they like to cuddle, there will be plenty of time for this!

Availability
Since I work from home 10:30am - 8:30pm Monday through Friday, your pet and I will have plenty of time in the mornings for breakfast, playtime, cuddle time, and for taking a long walk; whatever they need. During the workday I'm accessible to take them out for potty breaks if/when needed, and they can play with my dog or just rest. In the evenings they can plan on dinner, more play, more cuddles, and another walk, all depending on their wants/needs. At bedtime, they're welcome to sleep with me on the bed, on the floor with my dog, or pretty much anywhere they like. There's no work on the weekends so there's extra time for getting lots of love, attention, playtime, cuddles, and walks!
