Run, Hike, Walk and Belly Rubs!

Pet care experience

I love the joy and happiness dogs bring into this world. It's infectious, and I love being around that kind of energy. From morning kisses to afterwork greetings, dogs manage to always put a smile on my face. I grew up with a dog family and miss having them around since the building I live in does not allow pets, so I became a pet sitter to spend some more time taking care of dogs. I also love the fact that I can give back to my community by helping owners find loving and trustworthy places for their best friend while they’re away. I grew with two rescue dogs and had them until their ripe senior ages when they passed. One was a sassy Poodle named Mandy and the other was a Cocker Spaniel named Cody. Between the two of them, there was plenty of love to go around and training to be done. They lived to be 17 and 15, respectively, and they were well taken care of their entire lives. I also have experience with lots of other animals and would also be happy to take care of cats as well. I do like to schedule meet and greets when taking on any new clients. It’s a great opportunity for us to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another! I also like to use the greet to ask lots of questions about you and your pup and, most importantly, to find out what your expectations are for the stay. That way, we can be on the same page for your pup, and I can make sure that your pooch thrives while they’re with me. I like to meet at a neutral space (like a park) so your pup and I can become fast friends together! Additionally, I have no breed preferences. I love all dogs and would be happy to care for whichever breed. Whenever your pup and I would be together we'd share our adventures with you. We'll take photos, videos of all that is happening to ensure that you are in the loop. I’m also happy to FaceTime with any owners so you can see exactly how happy your pup is!

Jennifer is great. She goes the extra mile and took such good care of our puppy when we were out for the day. Love the photos she sends. It's an extra assurance that he's doing great and happy

Jennifer is awesome! Jennifer did drop in visits for my two dogs three days a week every week while we were away at work. Our dogs are very shy at first and take time to get to know new people. Jennifer was patient with my dogs and put in the effort to gain their trust. After a couple visits my dogs were ecstatic to see her. Lots of kisses and tail wags. They absolutely love her!! Very trustworthy, super responsive and always received entertaining updates. Highly recommend.

Jennifer watched our two dogs and home for 9 days. This was the longest we’d left the dogs, and the first time they’d be with someone they didn’t know, so we were a little nervous. Jennifer came over for a meet and greet and immediately put us at ease. She was professional, friendly, and attentive to our needs, and clear about what instructions she’d need from us. While we were away, she checked in every night with a detailed description of the day and photos of the dogs. We came back home with everything as we left it, and two happy dogs...who were probably disappointed it wasn’t Jennifer. We’ll definitely hire her again, and highly recommend! Thank you, Jennifer!

Information Jennifer B. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? What’s your preferred method of communication? Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? Is your dog spayed/neutered? Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

I'd see your pup first thing in the morning for breakfast and a stroll around the neighborhood to get some energy out early on. After that, we’d relax a bit until the afternoon where we would play and go to a dog park (if they are good around other dogs). I live near 2 dog parks, the Rose Bowl and other family parks, so we could go to any of those places to meet some new friends. I’m also a runner and hiker in my free time, so we could definitely get a run or hike in during our time together! Lastly, at the end of the day, I'd pop by one last time for a potty break at night and make sure they’ve had dinner.
