Extended stay and extra pup discounts are available. ABOUT ME: Our family consists of myself, my husband and our 18 yr old daughter, 2 dogs, 3 cats, a bearded dragon and a flock of chickens. I think it is safe to say we have some animal husbandry experience. Before we had our daughter I worked at a pet shop, groomer and kennels. I also worked along side a trainer and have picked up tips and techniques along the way. We have always had dogs and cats. The chickens are a newer adventure that we are thoroughly enjoying. One of our most recent dogs we had suffered from a seizure disorder and between him and other previous pets I have become well versed in pill popping, dietary restrictions, injection giving, vaccinating and even the less than delightful rectal medication administration. Our house may be small but we always have room for visitors. The backyard is quite large (The picture with the chicken coop was taken from the edge of the patio), fully fenced with 6' fencing, with an impressive covered patio that stays nice and cool even on hot summer afternoons (the patio picture is only a portion of the entire patio). The front yard is also fully fenced with a 4 foot fence. Both gates are locked with a keyed lock. I work from home so the door is mostly left open for everyone to comingle both in and out of doors. Everyone sleeps inside every night. I am home except for running our daughter to and from school so the dogs are only left unattended for a few hours at a time for the most part. If it is too hot, then the dogs usually choose to be inside under the air conditioner. You can see from some of my pictures, the dogs have it pretty good. We do have 2 large dog beds for the dogs, but cannot always resist the comfort of snuggling on the couch with them. If your pup is not a fan of the felines, we have precautions in place to keep all animals safe and happy, though we hope your pup is a lover, not a biter. A FEW NEED-TO-KNOW BITS: A Meet & Greet is mandatory prior to the first stay. It's important to be sure everyone gets along. Please be as open and honest about your dogs personality, energy and training level so we all know what we are in for. Up to date vaccinations AND flea control are a MUST. Please be prepared to show proof. My rates are PER dog, but I do offer discounts for stays of 7+ nights and a bit of a break on extra dogs. Food and food bowl to be furnished by owner. If your dog is crate trained, please bring their crate. They will need to have a properly fitted collar with current identification tags on it. PLEASE leave the chews, bones and toys at home, we have plenty here and I do not guarantee you will have your toys returned. Drop off and pick-up times are generally between the hours of 7am and 8pm but we are flexible, so just talk to us about your needs Puppies or dogs who are not housebroken will have an additional charge per night depending on level of training and care needed. Medicating your pup will be an extra $5 per night. We look forward to sharing our home and adventures with your beloved pup.
