We have a 9 month old Queensland heeler/border collie mix puppy named Boheme and a 3 month old chocolate lab puppy named Barnaby. They are both social and affectionate. Barnaby is very happy-go-lucky and laid back. Bo is more high energy and likes to herd just about anything. I have been around dogs my whole life, starting with a cool Great Dane when I was a child (his name was Bert, as in Sesame Street!) I have pet sat for friends and family over the years, from overnights to day care. Being around dogs brings me a lot of joy. I love their personalities and like getting to know each dog's quirks and sneaking in cuddles when I can! We also have two cats that are here temporarily. They don't come out much, your dog will probably never see them. They aren't afraid of dogs or mean with them, they're just hiders. While in my care I would strive to make your dog feel as comfortable as possible by asking detailed questions about their routine and habits before we meet. My dog can have separation issues so I understand how much a good walk and a favorite toy can help with easing them into a new space. My goal is to keep their routine as close to what they have at home as possible. We live 2 blocks from Normandale dog park and also enjoy hikes at Thousand Acres and walks around our neighborhood to keep things fun and to vary the experiences. I do not work outside of the home, I am a stay at home mom and home maker so I am around all day to make sure your pet is getting attention and staying safe. I do need to run to the grocery store a couple of times a week, but I will always ensure your pet is safely contained either in a crate or in a safe space in my home if they are not crate trained. We are extremely diligent about keeping unsafe or harmful things out of reach of both our kids and pets. The children are all very aware of how important it is to not feed dogs human food, we never want to take the risk of a dog getting a toxic substance. We carefully monitor the interaction with our kids, we want to make sure everyone is safe and having fun, humans and pets. We have 3 kids, 8, 5, and 3. My fiancé works full time, so he is home in the evenings. During the summer the kids are in and out visiting family and attending camps. I want your pet to have a safe, happy and comfortable stay in my home. Safety and happiness are my top priorities and I take both very seriously. I enjoy getting out and taking walks and tossing a ball, it's fun for all of us!
