I began dog walking and petsitting for both neighbors and our family when I was a pre-teen. Now a homeschooling mom with two animal loving children, we bring enthusiasm and a flexible schedule to the table. Last year, two of our friends and neighbors relied on us to occasionally walk their dogs while each was in the process of getting ready to move. Ella, our senior hound and former rescue, was given to us by our neighbor when she determined Ella's anxiety would be too much for her move back to Germany. Our other senior pup, Pumpkin, has been with us since she was a puppy, thirteen years ago. She loves food, cuddles, and lots of sleep. In the past 8 years, our family has fostered a number of dogs and cats of various breeds including a mother pitbull and her puppies, a litter of sick, underweight kittens, and a grumpy old lady shih tzu with a habit of nipping, among many others. Over the years, I have worked as an animal shelter caretaker, a dog bather at a grooming salon, a petsitter, a dog walker, a caregiver at a herpetarium for reptiles, a science teacher with classroom pets, and a volunteer at a nature center.
