Every dog is a good dog!
Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, rabbits, chinchillas, and Guinea pigs. Growing up, I would always care for neighbors pets and my dog was my best friend. My beloved cat Mittens was with me for 19 healthy years, and I have a cat named Cleo who is very social. I’ve taken care of a lot of unique animals and have a background in psychology, so am prepared to adjust to your pets needs as I get to know them.
Reviews
Jennie has taken care of my cat multiple times when I've been out of town! She always sends update pictures, stays to give him snuggles, and plays lots with him!
Jennie is a kind and responsible caregiver. She loves my cats and cares for them as though they are her own. I would trust her to care for any of my pets.

I believe that the best way to take care of a pet is to stay off of your phone while you are with them. Being intentional about spending time with your pet makes a difference (even if they pretend they don’t notice you). I find that keeping a pets typical routine is very helpful as a pet-sitter, because as someone new in their space it is important for them to experience some consistency or normalcy so not everything is new. I prefer detailed instruction for taking care of pets!
Information Jennie S. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know about any sort of health concerns, favorite toys, favorite treats, and preferences that your pets have. I’d also like to know any concerning behaviors that your pet has shown in the past so I can be aware.
A typical day
With cats, I find that letting them lead the interaction is best! Watching birds together or playing with a string is something that I find cats enjoy. I love to invite dogs to play with me through exciting activities like “hide & find” and watching animals out the window (birds, squirrels, etc). Playing fetch is always fun and bonus if they like sticks!

I’m currently studying for the NBCOT, and have a lot of free time since I just finished my Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. I’ll be studying in Columbus and would love to take care of pets while I have the time!
