Pet care experience
My life has been surrounded by animals and recently sent my 12-year-old partner-in-adventure over the rainbow bridge. This is the first time, ever, that I've had an empty home to an animal. Growing up on a farm, I learned many skills and grew a huge heart for animals as being part of the family. My 12-year-old Basset/Coonhound mix was with me since he was 8 weeks old -- we did everything together! Saying goodbye to him has left my heart & home with a huge void. I would love to fill that void and share my love and compassion for your family member while you are in need!

Although living in an apartment, I have front door access to the outside so a quick step to fresh air! There is a small dog park on the property that we can play at too. My home is 100% pet-friendly and pet-proof. Dogs are welcome on both the couch and in bed. I believe pets are part of the family, so I will follow the routine you provide and will be in-tune to any needs.

A typical day
I love to be outside as much as possible, walking and smelling the neighborhood. I have lots of good toys and my apartment has a full circle set up, so we can run/chase laps if needed/desired!

Availability
I am currently a full-time student on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. Living across from campus I am able to come home to take potty/walk breaks (at maximum) every 4 hours. My schedule varies day-to-day, but at most 8am to 5pm with a lunch break I can come home for. I am an early riser, so enjoy a longer walk in the morning before my day gets started and another longer walk when I am home for the evening. Also a stroll before bedtime! ****April 29th - June 19th I will be in a clinical rotation that will require me to be gone for up to 10 hours M-Th (potential break in middle of day, but uncertain at this time) and off F-Su****
