Our love to fur babies is given from the heart 💜

Pet care experience

Unexpectedly re-available your home or ours. Fri 1st December-22nd December. I have been in love with all four legged fur babies since I was a small child. This love has never left me. I’m never happier than when I am in the their company. My husband and I are now in a position to offer daily doggy care or board one small well behaved dog in our home. To cover work schedules, holidays or you’re away from home in an emergency. We are both now retired, so have no daily commitments and would be free to take the fur baby with us when we go out as well as their regular exercise walk. Our home is dog friendly, with a door to each room which we are able to close if necessary. Or all doors can be left open, there are no No Go areas in our house. We have a small secure garden which has a high fence and a tall lockable gate. There is a small grass area, patio and flower beds.

Jennie and Glen were wonderful and Monty took to them immediately. He was very well looked after and enjoyed all his cuddles! They kept us regularly updated, which was very reassuring.

This was the first time we have left our dog with anyone, therefore feeling a little anxious. But finding Jennie was the best thing and as soon as we met her we knew she was the right person to care and look after our dog. Jennie and Glen were amazing, kind and caring and gave lots of attention to our dog. You can definitely tell she loves being around dogs. As soon as we collected her after her over night stay we could tell that she had been so well looked after.. Jennie and Glen were so fantastic we certainly will be going to them again, wouldn’t want to go to anyone else.

First time ever I have left my doggie with complete strangers, but it turned out so positive! From the moment I arrived, I sensed Jennie and her husband's authenticity, and real love and care for the animals. Throughout the 3-day stay I received photos and comms about how my dog had slept, eaten, and general doing. Gave me so much peace and comfort. I would love to book Jennie and her husband for every time that I go away, but they are booked so far in advance, and I can see why.

Jennie and Glen could not have provided a better home for our aged dog. She came back better groomed and younger than she left! Everything from the booking to the comms during the stay was perfect. We would 100% recommend Jennie and Glen without hesitation.

Information Jennie B. would like to know about your pet

It’s important to know the dogs habits, their likes and dislikes, any special needs as well as if they have a favourite toy. A special place they like to go to or sleep, also their usual feeding place. We try to imitate the same routine as the owner to maintain a happy dog and keep any upsets to a minimum.

A typical day

First thing in the morning is a toilet break in our garden, after breakfast is usually a good time to go for a walk. There is a large green area which is dog friendly near our house, plus further walks, which are a short drive away. After a lovely walk is resting time, followed by a toilet break, lots of fussing, strokes and tickles. Treats for good behaviour, ball games and find the hidden toy if the pet is interested. We have had dogs who are not interested in ball games, so we will play this by ear as we go along.

We are now retired and free of fixed schedules, so can come and go as it suits us. When at home we can offer frequent toilet breaks, quick walks, longer walks, whatever suits the pet at the time. An older dog may not be able to go on long rambles, so a few shorter walks would help keep them mobile as well as give them a change of scene.
