Pet care experience
I was raised with dogs, my grandmother was a poodle breeder who taught me a lot about grooming and training. I've gone on to do fostering, rescue, and transport. My husband worked for vets and rescue organizations, so it's a family affair! We work with difficult dogs who need training, (we only use positive reinforcement, no CM style) fun dogs who just need some companionship during the day and little old dogs who need a gentle touch. FAQs 1. Can I bring my dog's (x). Yes. You are welcome to bring any item that you feel might make your dog's stay more comfy. While we have plenty of blankets, toys, beds, and bowls for those who chose not to bring their own we don't mind a bit if you wish your dog to have things that he or she is familiar with. 2. Can I bring my dog in a carrier? Yes. Or on a leash. But we ask that you not just release your dog out of the car. Sometimes dogs are familiar with the doggy daycare experience but some are not and get nervous. It would be terrible for your pet to get lost running off out of fear in an unfamiliar neighborhood. So please do not let your dog off leash. We will do that once the dog is safely behind the fence. 3. Can my dog get fleas? Yes. We recommend that all dogs be on flea protection. While we go to great effort to remain flea free, like any camp or school experience the little ones use each other's things and can sometimes pick up a freeloader on walks. We would like to think this never happens but common sense says it will so we like to make sure our guests are prepared. 4. What happens in case of emergency? While some local guests may have their own vet, for those who don't we have a wonderful vet we use, Dr. Coward. He's been in business for many years and is a kind man the dogs seem to enjoy. For overnight emergencies we use the emergency clinic off Lakeland Dr. on Treetops Lane. It is run by the people from Mississippi State and provides excellent emergency care. 5. If I can't pick up my pet can you bring my pet to me? Yes. Usually, we taxi for a small fee depending on distance. But let us know, we can work with you so that your pet gets home safely and on time. 6. Will you send me pics of my pet? Maybe. I have a strong dislike for doing anything that makes your baby uncomfortable. If your pet is relaxed enough that I can take the camera out and get a shot without annoying or upsetting the little one I am more than happy to. But if your dog is very anxious I am not going to make that worse by doing something that feels aggressive in dog language. I view my main job as making your pet feel as happy and comfy as possible. 7. What if my dog is naughty? We do not kennel or otherwise "discipline" naughty pets. If your pet is naughty, it is probably because the little one is nervous and upset and we respect that. Good behavior is treated and bad behavior is ignored. If the situation becomes potentially dangerous we have dog free areas that your pet can relax in rather than getting into a more anxious state. We are not going to crate your dog for any behavior reasons. 8. When can I drop my dog off? We are a business, we do have hours. Our hours are 7am-9pm on weekdays, 9am to 2pm on weekends. If you need a pick up time outside of that please let us know and we will try to accommodate you. You don't have to alert us you are coming but it helps, especially if you are in a hurry or have a good bit of stuff to drop off (or pick up) with your dog.
Reviews
Charlie had the best time boarding. It was our first time leaving him overnight and it was very reassuring to know that he was well taken care of.
Very sweet and took excellent care of our 2 labs.
Jenni was so nice! She kept me posted on how my sweet doggy adjusted and settled in. And even sent me pics. I was so relieved to be able to travel with my mind at ease! Jenni was great!
Jenni was very kind and patient with Ralph. She's great!

Information Jenni W. would like to know about your pet
We want to know any health issues, food aggression issues, or meds that need to be given. We will not turn a dog away due to aggression but we do want to know so we can feed separately or whatever needs to happen to accommodate the dog. Also, please be honest about what kind of dog you have. Some breeds, such as collies, have needs that we need to be able to meet and we can't arrange for that if you aren't honest.
A typical day
We try to organize activities for the dogs, especially the young ones who have lots of energy. But if your dog's idea of the perfect day is snoozing on the couch, that's great, too! We live in a very dog friendly neighborhood and allow the dogs to accompany us on any errands or activities they seem to enjoy.
