Hi! I'm Jenni, a science writer, disability rights activist, and neuroscientist from Austin, TX. I now live in Vancouver, WA, and work remotely as a researcher. I have had dogs (and cats!) throughout my entire life, and I have over 10 years of professional experience dog sitting. I have worked with all types of dogs with a range of special needs (behavioral & medical) of all ages and energy levels. I specialize in watching more 'misunderstood' breeds...pitties are my favorite! I adore the outdoors, so I am always open to taking dogs with me to the park, on trail runs, on outings, etc. I am reliable, energetic, patient, and ready to hang out with your pup!

Jenni is an amazing sitter! I know my boys can be quite a handful, but she was definitely up for the challenge and didn’t mind them clamoring all over her in their excitement. She went above and beyond to spend time with them and make sure all their needs were met. She was communicative and sent lots of pics, which was so sweet and reassuring. Absolutely will be booking again for my next trip!
Jenni is an all creature loving person. She is joyful and energetic, and I know she will assure that your pup has a great time, and burns as much energy as they need to!! She is a highly responsible and organized person, I would trust her with my animals, children or any other responsibilities without a doubt. I would really recommend her as a sitter or walker! You will love her and your pups will too.

I do not accept pet stays at my residence, as I live with 2 others and a dog. I am comfortable doing house-sitting requests, but first-time clients must schedule a consultation with me beforehand so I can meet your pet(s), get a feel for their routine(s), and set expectations and safety measures in place. I do not mind being on camera in public areas of the house, but I ask that you disclose their location beforehand for privacy purposes! :) I ask that all clients leave a paper or digital copy of any instructions, contact information, emergency contacts, and vet info.

If your pet has serious behavioral issues that include biting, abnormal growling, or signs of aggression towards humans (i.e. me!), then for my safety, I will decline your services. (This doesn't include jumping and getting excited...I know doggies do this, so no worries there!) As much as we love doggos, please respect the safety and well-being of dog sitters and walkers! However, I do have experience with an array of other special needs and will sit ALL BREEDS, but please let me know ahead of time if there are any accommodations I need to make.
A typical day
I love to go on walks, to the park, and just Netflix and chill with dogs! I have worked with dogs of all personality types, and love energetic, athletic babies just as much as quiet, cuddly ones! I am new to the Vancouver area, so if you would like me to take your dog to the park/on outings, I would love recommendations.

I work from home, so scheduling is no issue. As long as you give me ample notice for the services requested, I should be able to fit them into my schedule.
