Bay Area's Premiere Dog Nanny

Pet care experience

*I am open to accommodate your schedule/ make things work. Message to discuss* I grew up in a cat household, and have always held dogs near to my heart. I wanted to be a vet as a child because I love animals -- that was until I grew a little older and found out I'd have to see them in pain :( Now my boyfriend and I first bonded over dogs. We don't have one of our own (yet!) but we purposefully make dogs part of our life. My boss, and her boss both have the cutest pups, that I have been paid to transport (including plane), take and participate in intensive training classes, watch and just enjoy. Every relationship I have with a dog I cherish. Even persnickety ones, I'll enjoy their presence with respect to whatever the dog chooses. When I have a more consistent relationship with a dog, and with owners consent, I enjoy and dabble in some training. I particularly believe the best way to train your dog is to build and maintain a strong & trusting relationship and positive reinforcement. I also nerd out on youtube watching professional dog training videos with tips and tricks. My boyfriend has told me I have a magical ability of being like a magnet for dogs -- I brushed it off, until I looked back and realized, my entire life I have been a dog lover and appreciator. When I am not taking a picture with your dog, petting your dog, or sitting dogs -- you can find me managing my boss's dog and my dad's dog instagram account (I told you, I love dogs). I currently work part time & my boyfriend works from home. This allows us to have extra time to enjoy your fur babes and buds. I am available on Mondays & weekends for longer watches and over nights. I am available after 4:30 weekdays. I am also available for long term boarding with time to plan ahead and solidify a structures and reliable time to take care of your pets! Safety is key!! I live in a spacious apartment on a 3rd floor with no elevators. We have a nice size deck patio for sunbathers to enjoy. Our bed is open and ready for cuddles, but also not (I will maintain whatever rules you keep at home). The complex itself and the area around the apartment complex is is very dog friendly. Lots to walk, sniff and explore! My boyfriend and I value safety, comfortability and appropriate play/exercise when it comes to caring for dogs. Staying with us and your dog will get loads of attention and be showered with love and affection.

Jennalynn took care of our dog for a week. She was great communicating and sent lots of updates. She took our dog on a lot of walks to different places. We will use her again.

We highly recommend Jennalynn for your pup’s overnight boarding! We needed a last minute sitter and Jennalynn was able to help us out. We were really nervous, as this was our first time leaving our dog with a stranger (we usually leave her with family). Jennalynn was very understanding of this and sent us daily updates to ease our minds. She also let us know ahead of time everything we needed to bring, and even did some training with our doggo! When we came back to pick her up, she was so happy and went straight to sleep when we got home, so I’m assuming she had a great time. Thanks Jennalynn! :)

Jennalynn took such great care of my fur baby last weekend. Sometimes people are wary of pitbulls, but not Jennalynn. I liked how she asked a ton of questions up front to get to know my pittie and her needs. Although it was a next day boarding request, she even accommodated a meet & greet at my house. Jennalynn and her boyfriend are great with animals -- they provide lots of affection and adventure. They're good with people too -- responsive, prompt communication before boarding and during boarding with text & picture updates. Don't hesitate to book with Jennalynn. I'm really happy to have found her.

Jennalyn was amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better first-time Rover experience! From agreeing to book on short notice to her double-checking if my pup Britt was okay with the car, dog parks, and other dogs, Jennalyn immediately made me feel assured that Britt was in superbly good care for the three days of daycare. Furthermore, Britt took an immediate liking to her and that's the most important part for me! I kept coming home with a happy and tired doggo, so I can't thank Jennalyn enough for making Britt feel comfortable and safe during her stay. Britt and I look forward to booking again in the future!

Information Jennalynn S. would like to know about your pet

Caring for a dog can be easy peasy & also be as complicated and complex. Each dog has such a specific set of needs, and I want to attend to them all! Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors to be aware of -- anything to specifically cater to your dogs needs A few questions to go over 1. Does your dog have any anxiety - and what helps? 2. Does your dog do well with other dogs/humans 3. Does your dog enjoy outdoor dining/ exploring more city areas (denser areas of people) 4. If sleeping over -- What is your dogs night time routine? (how many night potty visits can we prepare for and etc.) 5. Any specific behaviors your dog does to communicate! 6. Any special tip specific to your pupdog? 7. And any other information you would care to share! I am all ears and eager to know all about your fur kid!

A typical day

My boyfriend and I love a good scenic walk. We love variety and explorations — With many different routes dogs can explore, inspect, and smell new areas to make sure your dog is mentally and physically stimulated. Our favorite is to drive a little in the hills and do a nice walk/hike on a trailed and well kept path (trails only to assure safety). Sure to stimulate their mind and get some healthy movement! After we would enjoy a leisurely drive back/rest and then end the afternoon/evening with a hearty play session. Maybe some catch or tug of war -- being sure to keep them engaged and enjoying the time as much as possible to secure a good nights sleep!
