While I have never owned a dog myself I have taken care and been around many dogs. My grandparents had a small and a medium-large dog growing up and I loved them. I dog-sitted for them on several occasions growing up. Later on, I dog-sitted two small dogs for a parent's friend for a week and had a amazing time with that. Since then my life has been graced with a beautiful Australian Cattle/Shepherd mix when my boyfriend brought her to his home several months ago. I have watched this dog go from extremely shy and skittish to a high energy loving puppy. Because of her I have gotten to learn a lot about dogs and the challenges they may bring.
