Pet care experience
I have 3 years experience as a senior dog handler for Lucky Pawz doggy daycare/boarding in Iowa City. I provided attention and care for the dogs who board, or come for daycare. I gave the pets who stayed plenty of love and attention, fed them according to their owners’ request, and made sure their spaces were tidy for their stay. I have owned dogs for practically my whole life, so caring for them does not just begin with working for a doggy daycare. I work great with every size, breed, and personality of dog. I work full time M-F traveling around the DSM metro and am able to stop in throughout the work day. My special skills include patience, adaptability, and love and acceptance for every dog!

I got to see Jenna work professionally with dogs when we were roommates in college. She loves taking care of them and is very patient and kind. She's one of the most responsible people I know and I'd trust her with my pets in a heartbeat. I can't recommend her enough!
Jenna is super good with our pup, Maisy, who’s not even a year old. She used to work at a doggie daycare and understands her puppy body language better than I do half the time. She gives her lots of love, time, and the needed patience for ornery “teenage” puppy.

While I do not offer boarding services in my own home, I am happy to meet your pet in their own space where they are most comfortable! I can easily leash your pet, take them for walks, provide company and play in the home, feed them according to their meal schedule, and anything else your pet may require!

A typical day
I love to spend time and get your pets’ energy needs met. Whether that’s with walks around the neighborhood, or special treat mat time, I will make sure your pet has the exercise time it needs!

Availability
I work M-F full time, 8am-5pm traveling around the DSM metro. I have some availability to pop in during the work day and am fully available weekends as well.
