Dog Trainer + Pet Sitter
Pet care experience
Hi! Jenna here. I’m a dog trainer offering training, dogsitting, walks and drop-in’s. I have 17 years of canine experience with all ages and sizes - Dachshunds, Pitties, Shih Tzus, Labs, Hounds, Pugs, Spaniels, Goldendoodles, canines of unknown origin, you name it! I’ve also been providing cat care in a professional capacity for 4+ years. ____________ What Sets Me Apart: - dog trainer with a focus on dog behavior. - extensive experience with special needs and senior dogs who are blind, deaf, paralyzed, have difficulty getting around, require oral medications, etc. - comfortable and experienced with a variety of diets so whether your dog or cat eats kibble, raw, lightly cooked, fresh food or a little of everything - I can accommodate any and all of the above. _____________ We’d be a good fit if: - you have an anxious/shy/reactive dog (rescue pup or otherwise) that requires an experienced and calming caretaker who can pick up on the nuances of dog body language and understands that less is more. - your dog is in need of behavior modification and you’d like to start taking positive steps towards having a calm, confident, fulfilled dog and are curious about care that includes training. - you are already working with a trainer and are looking for someone who will provide the leadership and structure for your dog in your absence (because ain’t nobody want their dog sliding back into bad habits after working so hard to improve). - you and your pup are already living your best lives and aren’t in need of training but you’re looking for an awesome buddy to hang out with them while you’re away. ____________
Reviews
Jenna is great! We really like her.
We loved Jenna and will continue to have her as a regular dog sitter. Our pup was relaxed with her. Thank you, Jenna!
The amount of time and patience she is putting in with our little reactive guy is amazing.
Jenna is super calm, patient, and does great with our reactive little doggie

Having a dog of my own, I know how hard it is to leave your pup with someone else while you're away. Trusting someone can be hard and quite frankly, anxiety-inducing. I will send photos/videos a few times a day to help ease your mind. If you would prefer more or fewer check-ins, no problem! Just let me know. Always feel free to check in and ask how it’s going. I make a point to respond quickly so you’ll hear back from me within a few minutes. Please reach out if you’re interested in setting up a complimentary meet-and-greet.
Information Jenna N. would like to know about your pet
We’ll go over all this and more in the meet & greet so no sweat in preparing anything ahead of time. • Any allergies/sensitivities? (food/treats, certain proteins, etc.) • Reactivity or prey drive? (dogs, squirrels, cats, birds, thunderstorms, men wearing hats, etc.) • Separation anxiety? • What equipment do you use for walks - flat collar, slip lead, harness, prong, Figure 8, etc.? • Is your pup crate trained or left free roaming?
A typical day
I love both long hikes for high energy dogs and leisurely strolls for the slower ones. I vary care depending on what the pup needs so it will be customized to your dog.

Availability
I prioritize accommodating your pet's needs to keep to their daily routine. I am self employed with a flexible schedule. During our meet & greet, you may notice that I present myself a bit differently from other sitters - I won’t come into the home with high energy or excitement and will not immediately approach your dog or make eye contact with them, instead focusing on you while we chat and let your dog come to me. This is done intentionally in order to make your dog feel comfortable and encourage calmness but make no mistake, I’m excited to be there!
