Hi y’all, i’m Jenna! I’ve had dogs since I was born and i’ve been learning to care for them since I was 8 years old. I also have 4 dogs of my own, 2 chihuahuas, a terriers, and a chorkie. At my school this past semester I was a member of a service dog training program where i helped train puppies to become service dogs and i worked with 2 year old retrievers, so I also know how to handle larger dogs as well. I was at Texas A&M University last year for veterinary studies to work with small animals, but science isn’t necessarily my strong suit, so i’m taking a different path for my next 3 years. I’ve volunteered in animal hospitals and animal shelters for years and plan on continuing to do so, so I also have extra out-of-house experience. Even though it doesn’t look like working with animals is going to be my livelihood, I plan on keeping it a hobby for the rest of my life. For my availability, I am taking summer classes at Austin Community College so every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8pm I will be unavailable to walk dogs. If I am sitting at my house, they will be either alone for that time, or my dad will be home with them if he is not out of town. If I am checking in at your house or staying at your house, I will verify that it is okay with you. I also work at the lakeline mall, so if you need me to sit for you and you give me at least 2 weeks notice, i can call off those days, or I can tell you the days I will be working and the hours I will be working to verify it will be okay with you.
